fav part is the lines "Where you come from is gone. Where you thought you were going to weren't never there and where you are ain't no good unless you can get away from it!"
I saw a Library DVD of this movie last Spring. This was in the Pinellas County Library System, Florida. Early this month, I bought my own copy. There are extras, real good interview with B.F.
it's a messed up movie based on the book, same title, Wise Blood. The guy in blue is basically soul searching but doesnt admit it to himself and tries to tell others God doesnt exist blah etc. It's a story of redemption...i suggest reading the book it's very good
DOES ANYBODY REMEMBER HARRY ROLLER SKATING IN A DWIGHT YOAKUM VIDEO? i KNOW HE WAS IN A D.Y. VIDEO BUT I REMEMBER HIM ROLLER SKATING WITH THIS WOMAN ALL ALONE IN THE VIDEO. I THOUGHT IT WAS POCKET OF A CLOWN.

The camcorder works in an unexpected way: initially, before the first cut, I thought that it was a production shoot, or shot by a spectator on the street. HDS's character's grin at Dorif's underlined the raw effect.
Huston's penultimate film, if I recall. Quite disturbing, and highly memorable. Everything's great about it, and Dourif was made for this. "Hey, listen mister, this is a _great_ car!"
You can find it on eBay and amazon on VHS but it's costly. I just purchased it for $26 and plan on transferring it onto DVD. Hopefully I'll be able to clean it up a little too.
I just came across it on AMC really late and just kept saying, "what the hell is this?" lol, what an original film. I can't believe all the crap that's been transffered to DVD but this title hasn't. Really a shame.
I have a question for you. In the book, O'Connor mentions something called "666 posts". Of course, she intends the allusion, but I think an actual object is meant. How, if at all, was this interpretted in the movie? Road signs? Advertisements for 666 cold medicine?
It is out on DVD our good friends at the criterion collection have remastered it and even found missing segments whilst successfully contacting the director to reedit his master draft.
My gosh, this is so amazing. Brad's so fantastic, you just can't stop watching him. I'd do anything to get this movie. lol, I've checked everywhere here and no one has it. It NEEDS to be on TV someday so I can watch it AT LAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD
Great movie, currently available only on VHS. I think Dourif's finest role, because he gets to star and really has time to develop the character. Definitely needs to be on DVD.
This clip is so awesome that I went out and bought the book by Flannery O'Connor. LOL. I think that Brad deserves an Oscar for this one!!! The text in the book matches that scene almost line for line. Haha.
Hey and that other kid in the back was RAM from TRON. Isn't it?

I... I just don't get it. I tried watching the film. Very confusing. Kept wanting to say "And your point is....?"
The mummy kidnapping by the guy who yelled at a gorilla behind glass at a zoo. What on Earth was this movie about anyway?

A great novel & a great film, funny & savage at the same time. Wonderful dialogue, "Nobody with a good car needs to be justified!"

Some of that dialog is sampled in Ministry's "Jesus Built my hot rod" with Gibby Haynes singing.

I had no idea they made a movie of a Flannery O'Connor story. I wouldn't be writing if it wasn't for her; I gotta see this.
