nope. the sharp 4th (or sharp 11) in lydian is a common extension of major chords (maj7#11)- flat 7th wouldn't be used over a major chord because of its dominant quality, tending to sound like it wants to resolve, and unless you know how to work it, best stay away for now :)

um im still learning but isnt mixolydian mode closer to the major scale than lydian?
