第一次ブリティッシュ・インベージョンのグループの中ではベストスリーに入る大好きなグループです。このマイナーな雰囲気はパープーウエストコーストにはありません。（ウエストコーストが嫌いな訳ではありません。誤解無き様・・。）完全なアメリカ・ボストン近辺から東及びイングランド・アイルランド辺りです。しかもjazzの雰囲気もあるんですね。彼らのボックスも当然持ってますし、67年当時、GSのカーナビーツがカバーした時は驚きました。その後「二人のシーズン」はリアルタイムで購入、そのアルバムもとても好みで今でも良く聞きます。（当時日本ではシングルはヒットしましたが、アルバムのオデッセイ＆オラクルはまったく評価されずに終わりましたが・・・。ここ数年は再評価されてる様で嬉しいですね。）

ゾンビーズのマイナーコードの楽曲はいかにも日本人が好みそうですし、当時のGSもその影響が大きかったようですね。
ジャズっぽい、つまりちょっと小難しそうな演奏は全てカッコイイと思っていた昔の自分をしみじみと思い出します（笑）
それと「オデッセイ＆オラクル」が若い世代に再評価されているという件は、本質的に日本人の音楽趣向が今も昔もほとんど変わっていないということを物語っているように感じます。

Interesting this.She's Not There is the original (well 1969) Stereo mix with count in and no overdubbed extra snare beats

you're right. Not sure why. sounds better with the extra snare beats! Never heard this beat in any other rock song either as it is so unique. Drummer was way ahead of his time..even today..
