yall need to shut up and hop in a race car yourself because it is really though and i have been in a car at darlington and when you have problems withe the car or othe drivers you will let them know about .
oh come on... this was a gentle tony moment! The only reason the camera follows Tony is because they know he's capable of showing the drama that NASCAR wants. If Tony's attitude was detrimental to the sport, they wouldn't air a thing tony says.
Actually, I found the book quite dreadful. stewart has had an amazing life and his biography was written column-style, out-of-context with a jumbled timeline.
I agree that we need more emotional, passionate drivers, but not like Tony Stewart. Dale Earnhardt fit that mold. Waltrip, Tim Richmond, those guys were passionate and emotional, but didn't act like complete spoiled brats all the time. I actually thinks sometimes Stewart just throws his little temper tantrums for show. 24Lancelot is right. This guy is 37 years old and still acts like a rookie when it comes to dealing with disappointment. 2 championships, and he's still a fucking child. Douche!
I love how everyone likes to put nascar drivers down, but until you yourself are in the car and driving don't assume you know how they should act or feel...b/c when you assume you just make an ass of yourself....I for one think if it wasn't for guys like Tony Nascar would be boring....
Guess you missed how Earnhardt and Waltrip acted like kids in the 80's All the Verbal shots and intentionally wrecking each other... When they did something wrong to one another they both ran to the newarest TV camera to whine and complain about the other.
We need more emotional, passionate drivers like Tony. Someone who doesn't sugarcoat his how he feels and doesn't care about 'image'. He's real, not some robot, like many other drivers out there are. That's why he has so many fans.
All drivers bitch and have fits, but only the more popular ones make TV. They know Tony is emotional so they have a camera on him waiting for a reaction where say someone like Greg Biffle they could care less about.
he didnt win, and thats just not good enough for him. Honestly, Nascar needs more drivers like that. He threw a towel big friggin whoop. I've seen hockey players throw sticks in the penatly box cuz they are mad, football players throw shit on the sidelines, are they whiney babies too? At least he didnt punch anybody. lol.
Honestly I cant care less about Tony any more...but I have to say he is not bad of a good driver...he has cleaned his self up over the years...not as agressive as he once was.
Corn fed and inbred.

Tony's like the spoiled fat kid in Little League who slams the $300 bat his parents bought him on the ground every time he strikes out.

As one who reads constantly and in particular enjoys biographies, "True Speed" was awful.
Too many omissions and it was disjointed.

Tony is the only driver that needs timeout away from the media after a race cuz he's gotta deal "wif his feewings". Immature dude, y'all.

Guess you missed Jeff Gordon whining when the car isnt his way or when he threatens to wreck other people... yeah thats "mature"

Still stuck in your immature 'anti-Jeff Gordon' ways. Huh?
