  • Thanks.

  • This is my favourite DMC 1 Mission, not the hardest but my favorite yet !!!

  • hey i was wondering, what the hell is that right route (in the tongue cave) used for?

  • THIS IS SHITTIFUL !!! NO HELP WHATSOEVER!! cuz im not at that part lmfao

  • Henshin a go-go baby!

  • Never the less, this game is absolutely beautiful; there has never been another DMC game capable of competing with this. I really do hope to see Capcom to release another DMC game that succeeds the integrity of its first game.

  • DMC1 was the best in the series...

  • @HalfLife224 I think so too !!!! : )

  • without the DMC1's director, most of the capcom games today are crap.

    like disney without pixar... o~0

  • The philosophy of this game is incredible, unless I've misinterpreted it. The underworld appears to be a distinct reality - as it is - but an alternative dimension rather. As you progress throughout this mission, mundus appears to be in human form in an alternative reality - and you're fighting for his soul. However, as opposed to normal humans, mundus possess the ability to manipulate alternative realities. In other words, he exists in alternative 3D and controls present 3D.

  • To justify this, you can see that it may indeed, by his soul at the top; you have a stomach in the lava area (Lava representing stomach acid), a heart and nerves trying to grab you; trying to sense reality. It's akin to a philosophy of our existence; we may exist in the forth dimension, interacting with the third; our brain and body is merely a support structure for our perception of the third dimension, and the lack of our anatomy diminishes 3D perception.

  • That is a very interesting theory. however the 4th dimension is the dimension of time. If we di exist inside the 4D. Then we would posess the power & knowlegde of time. Mundus may be a demon, but I don't think that he has power over 5D(space or Void). rather because he can't come into the human world yet + he was already defeated by LDK Sparda 2000 years ago his body is stuck in Limbo. Hence the fortress could be a ritual site 4 his body 2 be rezzed in this world. BTW ur theory wasnt that off XP

  • The reason I believe we exist in the forth dimension is due to near death experience accounts (NDE's); individuals commonly report percieving the past for which something had occured beyond the boundries of their awareness. In other words, they see things in the past that they hadn't seen whilst existent during that time. Here's a documentary of a Russian neuroscientist whom had claimed to have been dead for three days and had percieved both the past and the present beyond the boundries...

  • But If we did exist in the 4D wouldn't we posess some kind of knowledge or power over time? A NDE would trigger a some what Time Recall (TR) however it would be his/her own memories that the person percives. Because our minds R be coming more aware of our suroundings, we do recall things that as a kid we would'nt care 4. "we didn't see it cus 2 us it wasn't there. yet looking back we can see it now." I'm not trying 2 argue it's just very interesting. :) ps: send me link a 2 the Russain guy.

  • Ldk is only accessable through hard mode.

  • Amazing.

  • how do u do the 2 slashes cencil move?

    I've wonder

  • i think you slash twice with circle, then press x a couple of times til he puts his sword back then slash again

that what i worked out anyway, but i can never seem to get it as fast as he does

  • 4:20, anyone order an ass raping?

  • Man, the colon of that nobody must be raw and bloody now.

  • Don't put images in my mind... <_<

  • its not the hardest, it depends on which difficulty you play it on, because easy on DMC3 is very easy on DMC3SE, it all depends on the level of difficultty

  • You're right. But I agree, DMC 1 is the hardest (if you play in Normal mode at least). DMC1's DMD mode is just insane !

  • Is that Dante??? i only played 3 and 4. that looks nothin like him.

  • It's an alternate costume for Dante in DMC1 and in DMC3, "The Legendary Dark Knight" which takes appearance of none-other than The Legendary Dark Knight him-self, Sparda; Dante's Father.

  • ooo... cool i guess.

  • what combos?:P

  • hey was wondering if you could do a guide for lvel 15 in the actual game, im dante and i cant figure how to escape from the forest and pass the purple clouds and the crossroads( with the 3 tourches) any hints will do kos its killing me, thanks

  • whereever you see the shadow points to, go opp. of that direction. i.e. if the shadow is facing west, you go east.

  • I'm a month late with this reply, so hopefully you've solved it by now... :-/

...'Cos I don't know where you mean. I can't think of any forest. Or crossroads. 'Purple clouds' could be the poison gas in the blue emblem shield room, I guess. If you're *still* stuck, holler :p

  • i done it and thanks for trying to help but its ok, cheers man

  • Cool :p

  • Hey what are the last 2 guns you get? i seem to only remeber the grenade launcher as my last gun...

  • nightmare-beta & gl should be the last 2 guns you can get...

  • I cant remeber the four gun but now i seem to remeber the 5th one. It was a long time ago. Thanks though.

  • No - watch my DT go down when I DT :p

  • (Joch1)which sword is better sparda or the alastor?

  • Alastor's definitely considerably more useful. Two words: its abilities <_<. Sparda's raw power is double that of Alastor, but then Alastor equals its power in DT mode.

I like Sparda a lot. I think it's a really cool sword - but it's not that practical for the most part =/ ... I still wouldn't mind doing a DMD Sparda/E&I only game one day, though :p

  • lol just do the glitch thing that u can go dt at sparda sword and fly! or like ifrits just the glitch u can DT the ifrits or alastor

  • what does the bangle do?

  • It uses your DT to freeze time, during which you can attack enemies with non-DTed attacks. (They do take damage, but it won't be dealt until time is unfrozen.) Doesn't work against bosses, except with Nelo 1 and 2 (er, I think 2...) and Shadow Nelo.

It's most fun with Super Dante. It's fun High Timing a frozen puppet, charging up a Roundtrip, unfreezing time, and watching the Mari being Roundtripped in mid-air :p

  • you raped that monster on 4:19 xD

  • Yes, folks - it's an anal raping of a Nobody :p

What can I say? I got bored with Inferno... >_>

  • 4:18, you were, like, sticking a sword in its a**hole ;) thanks for showing me the SM Ignore trick!

  • lol u stingered the nobody right in the ass!!!!

  • Is it just me or does that look like it would get the ESRB really scared? It looks really vulgar!

  • hey josh...so the usa version and uk version...are 2 different? gameplays? is it slow or something..if so then i might aswell download the usa version...let me know...

  • DesiGuNDaM - The gameplay is identical, except PAL runs approx. 20% slower than NTSC. If you're in the UK, you'll be lumbered with PAL unless you have a modded PS2 on which you can play imported/downloaded NTSC games.

PAL DMC1 is slow and laggy compared to the NTSC version, so it's worth getting hold of an NTSC copy if you can.

  • ill down the game ntsc version :) yeh i have a swap magic cd to play copys ^_^

  • *1 month later*. Cool :p

  • 1 month later....i forgot :P

  • dantecry12 - In the somewhat unlikely event you will return to this page after 1 month, the answer to your 1st question is no :p ... The only way you can get infinite DT for the Sparda sword is to use a cheat device such as Codebreakers.

  • please answer this question: u can only use sparda(sword) with DT on the final stage

can you use the devilarms sparda(sword) with infinite DT while playing as super dante??? or no DT at all in all stages except final. please answer i've been wanting to know this for about a 100,000 years^^LOL

  • @wingwing90 - you should jump or roll to evade Nelo's slashes :p ... He's not that fast - you always get given enough of a warning to be able to jump away from his sword combos in time.

If you do restart, then good luck with the new Normal mode game - if you really want to get better, though, I recommend doing all S-Rank games, and then all SB-games :p

  • Yes, if you complete DMD mode with LDK, you'll unlock Super Dante. However, a word of warning: DMD mode won't be one whit easier with LDK than with Dante, *except* for Mission 1 of a fresh game (i.e. new game begun from the main menu screen, not one started at the end of a game you've already completed) :-/

That's because LDK is exactly equal to Dante in strength - even the Yamato is identical to Alastor in attack power.

    Where are you stuck? :-/

  • The best part was the Nobody ass rape. Good times...Good times. Lol.

  • @blober334 - It's hard to get through w/o taking a single scratch that way, though, as I was trying to do.

The *easiest* way is to equip E&I and walk through the tentacles, blasting non-stop - try it :p

  • @Kingtorga - both :p

Anyway, it's done and uploaded - it's just in interminable processing mode at the moment :-/ ... I would be inclined to recommend reading my description to the right of the video :-/

  • So which fight with Mundus are you having the mmost trouble with? Part 1 or 2? Heck maybe both?

  • Damn I'm stuck with the PAL version which is slow as SHIT.I wish I lived in the states just so I can make my combos look "almost" as good as yours.

  • I played the PAL version for 2 years and, believe me, I know where you're coming from. The chance to play DMC1 and 3 at the speeds they should be played at was one reason why I decided to get a modded PS2.

If you're interested in modding, Swap Magic seems to work well for most people and is the cheapest way. I needed to get a new PS2 anyway, so I bought one pre-modded with a modchip :p

  • @Kingtorga - First, the world of FF7 and now DMC2! :p ... However, I won't wait until I finish FF7, 'cos that game will still take me a good long while to finish :-/ ... I'll try and get back to Mundus by this weekend, however :-/

  • Oops, I see you've been stuck in the world of FF. Nvm then. :)

  • Yo! Where is your next vid m8? Keeping us waiting?

  • 4:11 Even demons don't deserve that...

  • *checks*. Ah yes - that would be the Stylish arse-raping method ;p

  • Went through that time... >_>

I will think twice before I upload another entire run to GoingDownTheTube, though - this site has been deeply user-unfriendly in my experience of uploading videos and replying to comments.

  • @sp00nshanx - Yeah :p @the messed up Stinger :p ... As for DMC1 being 'old', so freaking what? :-/

Later =/= better, as DMC2 and, in some ways, even DMC3 proved. There's a lot of things I prefer in DMC1 to DMC3: better enemy/boss design, better atmosphere, better level design, better music, and no Enigmas, Dullahans, Soul Eaters, and Blood Goyles everywhere, spoiling otherwise decent enemy groups, and making the game miles less fun to play.

  • By the way, when are you doing mission 22? I'm wondering how do you go through Mundus unscathed, as well as the plane finale in mission 23.

  • Y'know, you could've just used Vortex lvl2 to go through the tunnels with the tentacles and regain DT with the Nobodies. I always to Stinger to Grenadegun to kill them, starting with a shot. It always gets me to a Stylish to, btw.

  • lol, I noticed you tried to Stinger to the BoT, but targeted the dragon instead, resulting in an interruptive High Time. I only noticed because it happens to me all the time in other scenarios ^_^

  • Yeah, you can, Negativesun - it cuts out the dragon, the Frosts, and the moving eye platforms :p

Thanks, Almagestobscure - Nah, you don't have to jump around; I'm just naturally impatient :p

  • great! One of my favs!

Do you really have to jump around to avoid being hit by the particles of exploding body. Isn´t it enough to stay far away from enemys body?

  • I didn't know you could just ignore the stupid dragon in the SM...and ouch at how you handled that first Nobody in the long corridor hahaha

  • Thanks, overbest :D

I was gonna start on Mission 22 today. (I've not had much chance to play the last couple of days.) However, since I have been utterly unable to sleep tonight, I might be too sleep-deprived to get anywhere >_<.

  • perfect as always :)

2 mission more and you finished it 100% =D

  • 'Tis described in my description - I know it's long... :p

Anyway, it uses up your DT to freeze time, during which you can attack stopped enemies with standard non-DTed attacks. Best used with Super Dante, who has the infinite DT to make the most use out of it. (PS: it doesn't work on bosses, except for Nelo 1 and 2 and Shadow Nelo in the Underworld.)

  • What does the bangle of time do?
