kossoff's studio solo to all right now is a memorable masterpiece, memorable in the same vein as blackmore's smoke on the water solo. simply virtuosic
massive blues fan ,all my life ,love greeny ect but im a FREE man ,what a voice ,seen him several times ,ballad or rocking hes the man .Fee were so specail ,albums like highway and free free master pieces {like fine art}
The stones and Beatles rose at tghe ame time, though the beatles were more pop. I guess guys like Elvis Presley, Littl Richard and Chuck berry also have to be considered, and Gerry Lee Lewis, thoughn thier careers were more intermittent at first due to various interruptions (jail, marrying cousins etc)
Having interviewed Paul Rodgers 4 times, I can tell you he's a class act. A rock-n-roll legend who's so down to Earth you could just go have a beer with him and feel that you're with "one of the guys". God Bless Paul and Cynthia.
Great document! I would think, tho - "Mr.Big" would be a song about some way too cool bloke hanging around his woman - and the hole in the ground would be 6 feet deep!
One of the few "valid" solos in a pop song. Lord have mercy! Free were a great band, but the sheer wanking going in this comentary is quite breathtaking.
Yes thanks for posting the Free stuff. It brings back fantastic memories for me I saw them many times as kid(young person). I have never stopped listening to the band over all these years.

First band to make a career of rock and roll? The Beatles, Cream, Hendrix experience, the Who? I think there were a few before or at the same time.

One of my drumming heros, what a pocket! Not many rock drummers of this era had such a great soulful groove.

If you wanna talk pockets, I say Levon Helm!

Who is this annoying Scottish fellow in the blue T shirt ??? I detest pro critics....they are a waste of oxygen and valuable world resources.
