You can buy Jenson Buttons genuine '73 2.7 carrera RS in black for £209K which IS the finest 911 ever made. lets be honest I can have the look, but it must have the sound. I know where my money would go.
I came here for the sound of an aircooled flat 6 engine as shown on the picture. Instead there's a saleman type going on and on about the car. Let us see and hear the car!!!
@TheDriveChannel I'm an ordinary guy who owned a near perfect 911 for 7 years in a country that holds the world record for the highest car taxes (we pay for 3 cars when we buy 1) so I do know the burden of costs. But I was driven by enthusiasm, love for the car. When I navigate Porsche videos on youtube I'm driven by the same need for sound an action. Words & talk I seek in some of the excellent Porsche internet forums rather than on youtube.
@byf43 My point was, it cost huge amounts of money to find and drive the Singer. I can drive many Porsches in my area at no cost. Producing in car isn't bad if you have resources without having to fly everywhere. You'll see more in car soon.
@TheDriveChannel Actually I thought you had something to do with the car, building it or selling it. I see now that you report on various cars without actually being connected to the business selling or producing them. My mistake. But still showing that lovely flat six made me want to hear the sound of an aircooled 911 engine.
It's either a resto-mod or a kitcar however you want to slice it. Pre-94 Porsche frame with an early 911 body on it which happens to be made out of carbon fiber. Uses a built air cooled 911 engine from who knows where or when which is not original and a 6 speed Getrag which is not original. So it's a kit car just like a Noble is a kit car in that regard. You want to pay $360,000 for a kitcar be my guest. The Noble costs around $100,000 when all is said and done. What's Singer's excuse?
Enh you mention $200,000 but that's the base price. From reviews I've seen it's more like $190,0000 - $360,000. That's simply overpriced for what it is. While I don't doubt the quality there's no way that car should cost $360,000 considering the parts and labor. Would you pay $360,000 for a resto-mod (which is what this is) regular '69 Camaro? This Singer 911 should be $150,000 tops.
Um it's a run of the mill vintage Porsche then. Perhaps you haven't seen prices of what restored 73 911 vs a restored 69 Camaro cost. Very similar. You contradict yourself in your statement, "It's a brand new car that looks like the original and 2 it's a vintage Porsche." Well which one is it? If it's a brand new car that looks like the original then it's overpriced at $360,000 as you can get a solid 911 from that era for less than $50,000 easy.
Guys who build rat-rods on a limited budget and do the work themselves are a finer group than this sort of car-porn exemplify. You can build an exemplary one-of-a-kind automobile for a lot less than the price of this tired re-hash.
Well tough guy, assumption is certainly your go to strategy. I prefer Oxxford. As for cars, I have always preferred building my own, you know like a man with talent is prone to do. Anyone can write a check, even those from the South.
@Steveraxx I can say with a reasonable authority that I've built and restored more cars that you live with than you. Jags, Astons, Ferraris, Healy's, Morgans, Listers, Mini's, Rolls, Porsches....I can keep going....and I do like Burberry. You must be British...you can't seem to take a good joke, although most of my engineers were British and they could.
This guy dresses and sounds like a Southern Baptist minister! Holy Jezussss, this is a great car for you guys who got more money than brains or talent. Just write us a check and you can have one too! But hurry, supply is deeply limited!
@Steveraxx Southern Baptist ministers don't usually wear custom Italian suits. Yes Im from the South....I'm of Lebanese descent. It is a cool Porsche...they've sold everyone they've made and now they're going to reproduce the old Turbos. I suggest the Hyundai channel if that's more suited to your tastes.
@Silvermannnnnn Yeah but lets be fair...Singer has remanufactured a classic from the bottom up...now they're going after the older Turbos. Classic car with modern features built in and hidden. It is expensive though.
A beautiful car, however as always if you through enough cash at it I guess that it has to be better. This is an over the top excuse for spending money just for bragging rights. Now if only it had a turbo, three superchargers and a rocket....
@jedijaffy56 Singer is now going to be producing other models even more radical or accurate....good show for them. One of the builders frequents this site.

Again, you can do anything with an unlimited budget, what is the funn in that?
Again, anyone can write a check, your customers are your typical over-paid wall street wankers, or overpaid hollyweird types, more money than talent.
As for jokes, yet to hear one, from you or the lebanese minister, time to peddle your wares elsewhere.
