HAR! It was fun seeing the Goodyear snow tire ad! As if anything would help those lead sleds in the snow! I remember driving our first front wheel drive (an Audi) in a snowstorm, and watching the American behemoths slide off the road to the right and left as I purred down a steep incline in complete control.

GM stock was $28.00 per share in January 1962, but you could buy tires for $12+ each back then.
GM stock hit $1,70 per share in November 2008, but tires for your car might cost $100, $200, or more each today.
Go figure.
