  • Thanks to this video and the master in it. I can learn a new stance which is really I think effective in real life situation which is at 0:12 something like that. I think it can help me fight with any martial art fighter. If you're telling me that there are any other better stance than this one in Taekwondo(any Taekwondo). Reply to me and let me know.

  • @ZEN824 forms are artistic representation, however in a street fight completely impractical....

  • @Shredder01-of course forms are impractical,it is just for you to train with in your belt,it is for you to sharpen your mind in TKD. all I say is the stance, it is light and effective. the reason I say that is in that stance you can catch a kick easily. you can block offend to your body and when the offend is high you just raise your hand to block,in this stance you can counter most attack easily. i've tried this stance but I modified this stance to a better one but it is almost look the same...

  • @ZEN824 well my friend ive been training for years in many different martial arts (Marine corps martial arts, Muay Thai, MMA, Combat knife techniques, and of course WTF Taekwondo) I recently earned my 4th Dan and what I can say is that TKD is practical if you know how to correctly adapt it to be so. I would recommend a fighting stance with both hands up that allows you to punch, kick, knee, and elbow effectively, more importantly allow for fast movement.

  • @ZEN824 fighting stance with both hands up at about a 45 degree angle... left hand forward right hand back weight equal on both feet be light on your toes both hands up eyes forward... thats what works best for me. Forms are a great way to learn proper technique, discipline, gain strength, and are a beautiful form of artistic representation, Most of these moves were made for fighting with spears and on horse back in classical Korea, adapt them and they can be practical in other ways as well =)

  • @Shredder011- you're right it is light but effective. just need to train how to use the stance in combat..

  • YAY!!! =D

  • In Newyork

this is the Green Stripe Form

  • tae guk 2 is a Green form. This is Red belt form..

  • i guess

  • oi. i have my 1st degree black pre-test in 3 days! im so not ready, but these vids totally help!

  • at my class In 2ndID Warrior TKD in Korea the birthplace of TKD this is Blue Belt form

  • yaya!start from yellow belt pattern dey oso name it tae geuk 1 den green tip is tae geuk 2 and it goes on to the last colour belt i tink

  • in my T.K.D. school in Seattle this is form for Purple belt

  • At our school we do this for what we call a blue tag (green belt with a blue stip running through it) i'm in WTF.

  • i'M IN WTF Too

  • I love WTF. It could well be, the most retarded initials ever, but it still is awesome.

  • in my school this form is a form for brown belt so yea it varys

  • do you learn this pattern at black or black stripe.

  • You learn this form in order to test for 6th gup. At my school that is senior green belt (green belt with a black strip). But the color can vary with schools. So, it is for a black stripe, but not a black belt. This is a color belt form.

    Hope that helps!

  • o thanks cause i quit TKD for 5 years and i just joined back and ive going for a month now and i almost forgot everything and how everything works lol.

  • I've just gone back too! I'm a 2nd gup (senior red) and am working really hard to be able to test for 1st (junior black belt) in september. Everything came back for me really quickly... except my flexibility and my forms. Working on both. Good luck.

  • lol im taking my test for green belt today but this form looks cool
