I guess no one's interested in a new superhero on the block, hence the cancellation. Sure, it's in the mold of Nolan's Batman, but with a different tragic origin (Bruce's parents get murdered, while Vince gets framed for something nasty). Regardless, I watched and enjoyed this show, despite the bad press.

I may be a little late on the series and I know it has been canceled, but I absolutely love The Cape...I watched the first episode and was hooked automatically. I like the character development, the storyline was just getting good. I'm quite disapointed that it got such bad ratings and was canceled...still watched all the episodes anyways. Hope another network buys it so the series can end rightfully.

@8KChaos6 If you'd actually WATCHED the show, you would have known that the cape isn't "magic." Sure, you could call it mystical since it's been passed down from magician to magician, and it's weaved out of spider silk, but magical? No. It has no powers whatsoever. It's useless in the hands of someone not properly trained to use it. Kind of like a sword, but imagine all of the other swords in the world are flimsy, off-balance, and dull compared to THIS sword.

I just saw the first episode and the cape really needs to wear a mask. He seems so weak without one. I really want this show to make it two seasons because i love Summer Glau. I have no idea why great shows like Firefly and Terminator Chronicles didn't last.

@thefatman69dude considering your aforementioned southpark gag is an attempt to parody 70's - 80's supehero comic books, that guess is not far off.

You have over-thetop hero, overthetop action and super evil villains.. Its not a "dark and gritty relationship drama" into what the current day superhero plots have turned into. Its straight up 80's comic book from the days when capt. America fought comunist mutant squids.. And thats why it feels unique and awesome - it sheds away tired "gritty".

@170lionel I thought a cape=lame too at first but then I realized the cape is made out of spider silk and is in fact his weapon, it flows into the carnie theme, his powers are magic tricks essentially and that made the cape sort of bad ass in my opinion.
