That's really sweet, KDMAnderson. And very well done.
I am not sure why this is, but you remind me somewhat of Bruce Cockburn. Perhaps it is your peaceful spirit and your love and handling of your acoustic instrument.
Thank you for the wonderfully spirited original acoustic guitar tune :)
Great job Mike! You can really hear the Antoine Dufour influence. I have not heard of the Don Ross' Cannington Guitar weekend. That sounds like something I would love to attend! Lucky! :o) I will have to try some of those techniques. How did you come up with the tuning: C#G#EF#BD#? Thanks for the vid! -Derek
I found the tuning for this song after messing around with the Catfish tuning. Since Catfish is in the key of E, I decided to drop my sixth string down so it sounds the tonic of the relative minor key (Hence the C#). I dropped 1 to a D# so it would fit the new key better. Then I noodled around until I found a main section (which actually didn't get used in the final draft!) and it kind of snowballed from there!
You should re record this with a better mic, that would be fantastic!

Awesome stuff.
It's complicated, yet easy to follow at the same time. Definetly reminds me of some of your influences listed on your profile.
