The story-Elvis always liked recording live with the band. This track the band was recorded without him and he didn't want to sing to the track but he did because RCA wanted it done for the movie and as an RCA release. Elvis said on tape that they'd never use the vocal but they did. That is the recording that you hear today!

Elvis is said to have played the Fender Precision bass on this cut. Bill Black was trying to switch from standup and was having trouble but Elvis could play it no sweat so they had him do it. The reason everyone looks so dead was that people in high places were afraid of the reaction if girls were dancing with abandon in their bikinis.
