Bizarre Animated "Have You Played atari today" Commercial

I know this conversation has been going on for almost 3 1/2 years now, but I don't believe 100% that these are storyboards. Storyboards are black & white, rather sloppy sketches. These look like real works of art, far too complicated and detailed to be storyboards. They might be though.

This isn't the actual commercial. It's the story boards for the planning phase. The real commercial was never made as far as I've seen. I think they went with the "If her dad is so strong and her mom is so smart" commercial over this one (the other one I've seen the storyboard ones for). There was a "old reruns" one and a "play with your friend" one too that I've only seen in storyboards. They're all out there on that site listed on the video.

I agree with Rifter, this looks like a storyboard mock up for consideration. Plus the whole "played with" lines I'm pretty sure wouldn't have made it past the reviewers and I am sure I would have remembered rolling with laughter to upon hearning them again.

this may or may not have been a real advert.. Due to the illustrations/stills of ppl playing, it was more likely a focus group/survey group advert.. I've seen similar stuff that usually comes out BEFORe the release of the final advert (with actors taking places instead of the storyboarded pieces).. just a thought.. thanks for posting this!
