This and F14 Tomcat are where all my pinball money went. Nice table man very nice. Wish I could be so lucky. I think I wasted more of my wife's money than mine in this lol.
never had cash to own my own game, but loved pinball most my life, cant find em around anymore. this one was awesome, and i agree T2 was also hot, we use to go across town just to play a "Dr, Who" version with multilevel tartus that would lock the balls.
@morgoth0909 I need to change my strategy a little bit and get around to fixing the thing. My main problem is that I always hit the ball too hard and then it goes out. Any advice for me on how to solve this problem? Also, where do you get extra balls? I can get one on the Shuttle Maze and occasionally one on the Battle Simulation, but where are the others? I know the launch a probe has one, but that's selected at random. I'm asking a lot of Q's, but I'd appreciate if you could help me out here.
@TheMasterChipmunk I knew there was one in the Shuttle Maze and in Battle Simulation. I think there is also one if you get high enough multipliers. In this video, Extra Ball was triggered when he reached 8X bonus. I do know you can also light extra ball if you reach Warp Factor 8. He did trigger it again when he reached Replay value, but that's his personal setting. Usually, Replay means Free Game. Oh, does Flipper Skill Shot sometimes light it?
so, there is magnets under the voard that make the ball goes passed the flippers right? i've seen the balls on pinball machines to funny things to suggest magnets under the board
I have the same sound roms, but I have never heard Picard say " we will never surrender unless you pay us enough" or the sound at the start of the game. How do you activate those? thanks.
I own this game and love it... but I have to ask, how the hell do you get your sling shots to fire SO hard? I know you're using white rubber, but are you using a stronger coil in there than what should be? Those suckers are firing the ball all over the place!
Normal coils, just freshly rebuilt at the time the video was shot.
If the kicker plunger does not be replaced, I clean it and the rest of the assembly with Iso alcohol. Replace the plunger sleeve and put one *tiny* drop of rem (gun) oil on the pivot.
At 6:30 when it says Lock Lit 3 - what determines what happens? Sometimes I get a video mode, sometimes I have a probe launch type thing where you have to shoot at the transporter in the back middle. I can't work out what changes the mode following Lock Lit 3!!! Help!
boogie - the skill shot is a bit weird when it comes to the locks.
In a standard 3-ball game, you can only choose "Lite Lock" from the skill shot twice. After that, "Lite Lock" changes to "Lite Holodeck", which leads to the video mode that you described. (I think "Lite Lock" changes to something else during 5-ball games - I'm unsure of that.)
By the way, the option to the left of "Lite Lock"/"Lite Holodeck" Is "Launch Probe", so I think you simply chose the wrong option then.
3 Billion! After the first 2 balls, I wondered how the heck the game could last 9 minutes... but you kicked arse on those multiball and jackpot modes.
I played this tons back in the 90's. Now, the only classic arcades left in Calgary I know of are inside the Calgary International Airport (have only been there when I am taking flights, every few years) and the Greyhound bus station (some 20-year-old games). There's movie theatre arcades, but they're all the new, expensive games that I hate.
I remember playing this at a place called Planet Fun in Albuquerque, New Mexico when I was a kid. It was sitting right next to the original X-Men arcade game. I remember being totally blown away by how badass it was for a pinball machine. It is still my all time favorite pinball machine, next to the Twilight Zone one and Indiana Jones. If only I could afford getting this machine.
This is a great pin, but I can only assume the maintenance on it is murder. So many specialized parts... I have a hard enough time keeping up with my 1977 - 1983 pins =)
I played a lot of pinball back in the day, and the Star Trek TNG pinball machine was the finest one I ever played. Absolute fun.
#2 on the list would probably be the Simpsons pinball.

@arcaderehab What's the highest score you have ever gotten on this? Mine was just a little over 4.4 billion.
Also, how do you get the Grand Champion score? I have beaten it at my house, but it doesn't let me put in my initials!

How high does the warp mission go? I remember getting it to 9.6 or something. Is it warp 10? And how many points does that give you?
