  • lol enthusiastic guy @ 3:00 - it's best to be sure of things.

  • Does anyone know how I can get a copy of this movie?

  • Thanks for posting, lost my video years ago, probably lent it to a mate.... All time Aussie great, nick cave, david field, all legends. This movie terrified me when I was a kid, still does, gave me my first intrest in tattoos too,

"a man looks strange with no tattoos..."

No forehead work for me tho he he ho ho

  • @MrKatana1100sz Hi! I see you totally control the australian cinema scene! and I, obviously, do not control english; so... I would like you to repeat to me, like if I was retarded (; P), the Title of this FiLM. Thanks! 'cause the only thing I think I get correct is that this film's director is the same from "the road",right? thanks again! ;)

  • Interesting. O.o

  • this looks good i really wanna see this only thing i can comment is. native australians/aboriginals are not niggers. they are not african. they are a completely different race!

  • @HxCSounds but their skin is dark and Nick plays a sort of braindead asshole , so I guess it shows how "stupid" he is .

  • @gwogatobis oh gotcha...haha

  • @HxCSounds - I figure they're showing how the average psychopath doesn't care to make these polite distinctions in their verbal abuse.

  • Damn... I knew he inspired a lot of subsequent performers, but had no idea Dave Chappelle was one of them.

    "I'M NICK CAVE, BIATCH!!!" ROFLMFAO...

  • In the same way as Mad max...

    not fiction.

But a snapshot of the future.

  • Not a film for the faint hearted, but recomended

  • I think Nick is a convincing phsyco in this movie, i saw in an interview he drew inspiration from when he wass in jail one night & the guy in the next cell kept screaming cuss words just like he was here, him & his friends thought it was funny at first but then he kept going all night!

& i agree with peoples comments here he was ssooooo HOT but he's still now he's aged VERY well indeedy, love you Nick :)

    -Amber x

  • yep. may have to immaingrate to ozland. ;D

  • how the fuck do i find a copy of this

  • Where is this movie set does anybody know?

  • @mwps99 Australia

  • @mwps99 Its in Australia and its a mad film,,

  • you missed the part where he goes "officer officer I'm bleedin I'm bleedin come in here so I can spit in your fucking eye"

  • this kills me every time...

  • nick cave as himself

  • I think he killed that guy...

  • @millicentbistander you might be right!

  • @lilyslimit Ya.... just by the looks of his injuries I'd have to say that the prognosis of his condition was fatal. But I mean he could have been playing possum to avoid further attack I suppose. Maybe... I wasn't there so I can't say for sure.

  • I like Nick Caves music, though its a bit too hipster-like. but as an actor he sucks.

  • aww i wanted more

  • nick cave used to be HOT!!!!!

  • @bolicsoundz used to be?? he IS hot! :D

  • Everytime I see Nick Cave acting in a movie I just lol so hard. Can't help it omfg. HE ALWAYS MAKES ME LAUGH.

  • this looks so so good. i want to see it so bad.

  • its online

  • @bakersakter do you mean the movie is online? as in for free?

  • @lilyslimit yeahh i forgot where i watched it now...

  • @bakersakter ---anyone else know where I might see this in it's entirety free online?

  • @lilyslimit just torrent it

  • welcome to central industrial

  • i never heard the N***** word in australian accent b4.

  • This is so clear sound and picture a long way from the gritty video we first saw in the late 80's - thanks to the uploader. "That's the sound your fucking bitch wife makes when she takes it up the ass"!!!!

  • I forgot to mention David Field (Australia's most underrated actor) is also in Everynight Everynight for those who haven't seen it. Check it out!!

  • good call jayegaye - I trust you've seen "Everynight Everynight" also, to me this on par (for different reasons) with GOTCD, as the best (Australian) prison movie ever. Check out the old video nasty "Forced Entry" w- Harry Reems if you haven't seen it - it's the movie Dave Field ("Cunt") is watching in his cell from memory.

  • that music at 3.15 is perfectly juxtaposed to all the chaos

  • i must admit i randomly found a burned copy of this soundtrack with nothing labeled i just knew parts of it was nick caves voice. and its SCARED THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF ME. it took me over a year to connect it to this movie. otherwise it was just voices and sounds that made nightmares of my curiosity and creeped the shit out of me!

  • How have I never seen this film?

  • i want to fuck with him

  • with boat man :D...?

  • Very very brutal. But a cultic movie nvtl!

  • Wow... that looks funny!!! I was looking for a light hearted romantic comedy and i think i may have found it!

  • the greatest prison movie ever made! and its australian!

  • surely you didn't expect some sort of uplifting and joyous experience surely you must have had some idea of the movie before you watched it

  • it's meant to be depressing and sobering and limiting these are the constraints of prison life and the encroaching police state and government power..

  • nick cave is overly credited and mentioned when talking about this movie eg I mentioned "ghosts of the civil dead" to a mate and he goes "yeah, nick cave". (!) Cave a small role which I think he hams up and plays brilliantly.. he co-wrote some of the script and I believe some musicians from his band may have written some of the music. this movie is much much more about and beyond nick cave good as he is..

  • some of you have missed the point... the movie is a hint at the clinical and brutal nature of punishment in the future... it hints at a police state which already exist in the US to a large degree... the characters and the plot reveal the manufacture of the extreme and ultra violent criminal... created to be unleashed on societey... the production and perpetuation of fear... to enact and justify greater police powers and presence and government control. that;s some of what I read into it

  • @coughcool72 - so ur saying that the government manufacture these environments and ergo these people so they can use them to justify more power? I think thats a little conceited tbh, most governments, atleast most liberal democracies are far too inert and well checked against to come up with something like that, and pull it off.

  • @coughcool72 , How does a police state exist in the US to a large degree??? Are you from the US? If so, I'd like to know where you're experiencing a police state to a LARGE degree. Not that there haven't been specific (and yes, some very serious ones) police issues in the past, but a police STATE? Not even close.

  • @coughcool72 you are too intelligent, citizen. you perceive too clearly. you must be broken until you accept our authority in all matters. everything you have just said is false. Agree immediately or it will go badly for you.

  • can anyone plzzzzzzzz get this to watch cuz i realy wanna watch it. Looks dead gud thankz xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • It's just my opinion, obviously, but it was the most miserable two hours of my life. It depressing, but not so much for the subject matter as it was for the convoluted, meandering, and pointless script. Nick Cave steals every scene he's in, though; too bad he gets about five minutes screen time in the movie.

  • The dialogue is depressing, I agree with you, but it was no doubt produced that way for effect. Prisons and incarceration of our fellow human beings is a depressing subject. Incarceration for profit is even more depressing and immoral.

  • Agreed, agreed. But it wasn't the fact that it was depressing that made the viewing experience miserable; I mean, some of my favorite movies (Dogville, The Piano Teacher, and so on) are depressing as hell. What made it miserable for me was what I perceived to be the utter narrative failure. It didn't go anywhere -- or, more accurately, it went someplace, but it didn't engage the viewer enough for him to go along with it.

  • I was miserable the first few times i watched it too. There was simply nothing about the production which was light heart or upbeat in nature at all. For me, it relayed a sense of gritty realism. Well as far as I can tell, as I have never been in prison. But I think that the ambiance of the film, including the limitations of the dialogue conveys the misery and depressing nature of what prison life must be like.

  • what are the chords for this song?

  • I have loved this movie since I first saw it on SBS, woulda been just after it was released.

I've had the ability to relate to it on a few different levels....all intersting

I'm after the title music..the beautiful, haunting, cello piece, if anyone knows what it is (can't remember the title) or where I can find it, I'd be a happy camper :)

  • The soundtrack is available. I don't know whether it's still in release, but my copy was put out by Mute Records; interesting listening I must say.

  • Why are people always complaining about Nick's acting skills. He does a fine job here.

Perhaps a bit over a top, but only a bit.

  • I aggree. Nick isn't the greatest actor, he'll be the first to admit that, but he does this character brilliantly.

I don't think it's over the top though. He's playing a complete psycho, somewhat based on someone he went to jail with himself.

PS...'Euchrid Eucrow'...nice touch with the name, sir!

  • because people are fucked up thats why and everyones a critic these days so the hell with everyone else just as long as you enjoy his talents thats all that matters here

  • Saw this years ago. All I remember is a bloke waking up with cunt tattooed on his head... and Nick Cave of course.

Bleak. ALong with Animal Factory, the best prison flick out there.

  • can anyone download dave mason scenes?

  • Born to be a mad man.

  • Brutal fucking movie

  • this movie was fuckin full on! love it!

  • cave is a brilliant madman!

  • Nick was great in this flick - intense!

  • I love Nick's music, but Nick scares me in this movie. I almost couldn't believe that's the man that made that great music...though I know he's just acting.
