@megailadan In the broadway production of Seussical, the character was a boy, and it was always played by a boy. In community theater productions, however, Jojo is lots of times played by girls, about 60 % of the time.

@AwesomeActress101 Only if they can't find a guy with a high vocal range.
Most of the time Jojo is a guy, it's just hard to find a boy who can sing that high.
