This anime... I only read the manga, but I nearly didn't finish it because I would cry at most times in it... But it was an excellent read, I'm glad I found it.

:'(((((( only 6 episodes and i cried multiple times in every and each of them. But you know, i didnt mind crying that much, i only wish they made more episodes. Goood, it was such a masterpiece. It s like it dived into your deepest fears and regrets and grabbed them all the way up to the surface. And that s where the emo part begins :p

@KyokoSoumini It s six different stories about everyday people who have a connection to death (p.ex they are going to die or someone close to them or etc) and there s Momo, a shinigami who despite the fact that due to her job she takes souls to the otherside, she's really compassionate. I dont wanna spoil it or anything, though every story it s different., but you should know... there s a high chance you re gonna cry... a lot... (btw i tootally recommend it)

@missrabbitalice the word 'shinigami' actually means all of the above, it is, after all.. a translation.. in the anime 'Death Note' a shinigami was a death god, and in the anime 'Bleach' it was a 'soul reaper' the basic concept is 'taker of souls' word it how you will..

the "gami" means something like say it is a lesser god than God as such, it would be "Kami"

But I will say with certainty that in translation "shinigami" means god of death

@uzumakynarut0 actually no you're very wrong, depending on what you group it with the base meaning can be paper, high class, graceful or a deity (god) WHEN you group it with something it sets the subject.

For example the word KAMI could mean god in the right context but Kurokami means black hair or it can mean just paper there isn't anything labeling it as a lower class god anywhere.

I wouldn't take any advice from some Naruto maniac your name and expertise not very presentable at all.

The characters are different but are pronounced the same it's like mixing up the direction ''Right'' when you're saying ''Write'' just stfu.
