How about we say poor both of them. It's honestly a toss up in deciding who's life was more plagued by tragedy the only difference is that Itachi was both old enough and mentally stable enough to handle his better than Sasuke does.

@PenjagaAqw Itachi was 12 in this video, he killed the entire clan and he already awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan ( tsukuyomi, amaterasu, susano) . Itachi loved the village so much that he accepted to kill his entire clan and sacrifice himself..

If konoha did not have these rules of theirs Itachi wouldn't think of killing his clan, thus making Sasuke kill Itachi. He wants revenge for Itachi's fate that was sealed by Konoha, not for the point that that the Uchiha clan is wiped that.

once I learned how the sharigan was often obtained I stopped feeling sorry for any member of the Uchia clan. I must say though Itachi would have to be pretty awesome to keep the truth from sauske so long. Talk about playing parts to perfection.

Why is it that when Sasuke fights Deidera at age 16, Tobi says "Sasuke was able to use the full powers of his sharingan, his eyes will become keener than Itachis"? Either way I like both Sasuke and Itachi, but I think Itachi was probably the most promising Uchiha in history.. from what we know of so far..

Throughout the series, Itachi was always ahead of Sasuke.

He had a messed up childhood and finding out that his brother actually cared deeply about him must have been a huge shock to him. I'm sure he regrets having hated his brother all those years and then killing him. He really has suffered I bad for him.

@PenjagaAqw Itachi was 12 in this video, he killed the entire clan and he already awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan ( tsukuyomi, amaterasu, susano) . Itachi loved the village so much that he accepted to kill his entire clan and sacrifice himself..

So if you rlly understand what's going on in the series u know that it is this accumulated hate that made sasuke wanna destroy the village. :p

@Saiyan13Z No he awakend it the night the Uchiha clan was destroyed. see he has one in each eye and in the fight with haku he has three total and then the fight with Lee he has two in both eyes and with orochimaru and then when he fights naruto in the final valley the sharingan is in its perfect state and then after the fight with Itachi he awakens the mangyo sharingan

How old was Sasuke when he awakened his Sharingan? I think like 10? Itachi mastered his sharingan by age 8, and awakened his mangekyo sharingan by age 12 or 13. Why is it that when Sasuke fights Deidera at age 16, Tobi says "Sasuke was able to use the full powers of his sharingan, his eyes will become keener than Itachis"? Either way I like both Sasuke and Itachi, but I think Itachi was probably the most promising Uchiha in history.. from what we know of so far..

@paganizonda89 I also believe Sasuke will eventually surpass all previous Uchihas just like Naruto will surpass all previous Senjus, but that's because Itachi hadn't obtained the same level of eyes as Sasuke will. Sasuke already has the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, while Itachi only went as far as the Mangekyo. I believe however that Itachi's maximum capacity is greater than Sasukes. Throughout the series, Itachi was always ahead of Sasuke.

@paganizonda89 For example, Itachi could hit 8 targets 1 of which was a blindspot at the age of 12, while Sasuke could only do that at the age of 16 under Orochimaru's tutorage. Itachi - according to their father - was able to do the Great Fire Ball Jutsu right after watching his father do it, while Sasuke had to practice much more. Point is Itachi's talent as a ninja is greater than Sasukes, but I agree that Sasuke will become the most powerful Uchiha ever.
