@TheTVTastic Here are some reasons reasons why you would use these particular speakers:

(1) In addition to the easy-to-mount arrangement, inputs and volume controls are easily accessible

(2) Speakers are active  - so they do amplify the input signal

(3) With a toggle to allow Parallel operation, you can run these speakers and wire them with speaker wire just like a normal pair of passive speakers

(4) These units are very flexible

The physical description this speaker with the grill off that occurred before the 1:00min mark was greatly misinformed. This guy works for TECH SUPPORT?? WTF?
