ATTENTION: Apparently chevron oil (corrupt American oil company) bought the rights to NiMH battery technology so they could prevent auto manufacturers from using it to build more efficient hybrid vehicles and force us to keep buying gasoline. The name of the company that produced the NiMH batteries used to be Ovionic Battery Systems, but Chevron and Texaco bought the company and changed the name to Cobasys and made it impossible for auto manufacturers to buy the batteries. Search it for yourself
who's shooting this video? Too much headroom on the wide shot, tungsten light in a room filled with daylight, out-of-focus cut-away shots... Either Vanity Fair is skimping on the production budget or they're trying to look "YouTube-y".
btw, both candidates are trying to position themselves more towards the center rite now. its all about the independents, the undecided voters. although mccain still attacks obama every chance he gets, in typical republican super douchebag fashion. obama will be back to his old self once he's elected (thank god). as for bill i think many democrats are beginning to see his true colors now.
"maverick" = corny ... "straight-talk express" = corny. he's gotta let all that go, at least as far as the terminology goes. i used to respect john mccain back in 2000 when he was running against bush for the republican nomination, but he's really changed since then. seems like he "sold his soul" in one last desperate attempt to become president. dude's like Cyber Smoke from Mortal Kombal, the real john mccain's gotta be in there somewhere lol..
lol,..yea the maverick line is corny and old quick. Mccain is as weak and jelatinous as a man can get. He's been pandering to anything and anyone to become president. Now he's acting republican. FAKE. he will change again.
For the record, these are not two Republican pundits. Todd is a reporter with no party affiliation, and Dee Dee is a former member of the Clinton administration.
Hey guys, I'm going to subscribe to this. As neujack said above, it's good to see a couple of non-screaming GOP pundits at VF.
He also brings up an interesting point. McCain is no democrat. I know it's August and too early to dump on him, but if he's praised for an ad positioning him as a Dem would, then he's in trouble.
His bigger problem would be in using his record to define "maverick."
.. the old man has amnesia, so he calls everyone my friend.... he also was told to be too old by republicans in the last election. This is the real flip-flop man on his issues!
I love listenging to them...this married couple both with different loyalties to different political parties...but they are able to be sensible yet hold thier personal views without battle...says alot for their character
At last, polite conservative media pundits! I thought Fox news had driven them to extinction!
I'm so happy to see rational discourse that I'll forgive the fact it is hopelessly misinformed (either that or directly representing special interests).
McCain was (and still is) a hard-core Reaganite. He still preaches most of Reagan's economic policies. He fights for small government, and is pro-green busineses (because that's where the money is). How on earth does that get mistaken for democratic?

John McCain also:
- Fought for the 9/11 commission
- Fought for the dept. of homeland security
- Advocated the troop surge in Iraq
- Fought a $6 Billion Boeing rip-off deal
Thats a conservative record.

The snow globe and MIDI music at the start gives it a little 'St. Elsewhere' vibe, doesn't it? :)
