  • I get too angry at the thought of how much WASTE this stupid corrupt program created. Ill-conceived, poorly executed, the lowest of intellectual thought and common sense involved. Thank you, Federal Government. I guess this is the more nuanced approach to problem solving. Its change, that's for sure.

  • Such a waste, why is our country so wasteful? Yes, there are people that could benefit from one of these vehicles. The way new housing is popping up everywhere, stripping out land, running out our wildlife & beneficial elements, etc when there are good decent existing homes on the market is beyond me too. No wonder our country is in a recession!

  • This is why I hate demo derbies.

  • Hey I reconize you guys I believe. do you do other videos too I belive one in a caf/Resturant on Broadway? I think I saw you guys

  • I miss the clunkers

  • The whole cash for clunkers scam was also to remove repairable vehicles from the road. It was a plan to make all cars EMP destroyable. its about completely disabling the American citizens. All things that Hitler and the Nazis did was an abomination to the Jews, and now all things done to Americans are abominations to the richeous.

  • Although I agree that the Cash 4 Clunkers program had a lot of flaws, and the junkyard owners who allow body damage to be done are stupid, the vehicles that the owners bought via the program use less gas than their older ones. So, complain all you want about the program, but don't deny there were some benefits.

  • @pentiuman -Oh yeah, 3 out of 10 vehicles purchased where made in North America.

My family in Detroit is greatful. My cousin bought a pizza and a 6-pak.

  • wow a 5:56 a turbo diesel mercedes? Those things are built like tanks and they last a lifetime! How can they destroy it? Assholes.

  • @brizzlefizzle

And a DIESEL which are extremely economical can be converted to veggie ..bah :/

  • i know how you feel man. I just watched a video of a supra's engine getting destroyed. :( It just makes me angry.

  • Jeff! I'm inspired man! You're good at this youtube stuff.

  • The local scrap yard has another yard in Detroit. They take the cars and bring them here and we are able to get some great parts for 2002+ year cars before the motors are killed. well. atleast not all the motors are dead. some get away from the death solution ;)

  • I drive a 95 explorer and the wife drives 96. I goto the scrap yard to get new parts. I figure its better to reuse goos parts than buy new. i save cash and I ensure the part gets a to be fully used. This will save energy had I purchased new parts. We have the program here but salvage yards are allowed to re sell the parts. Also Sine I have 2 older cars in great shape. i save 2100.00 a year on the 2 vehicles. not to mention no car payments. Its a shame what the US gov did.

  • The cash for clunkers program was horrible. I used to take parts off of old T-Birds to fix my '92 thunder chicken from steering gears to wheels, tie rods, a hood, bumper even a new ash tray. A terrible waste. And GIVING people money to buy new cars only to support failing auto makers. GM who got taxpayer money on a bailout and now got 4500 dollars more taxpayer money for people to buy new cars. Every taxpayer got ripped off.

  • dude they started crushing cars right on the street here if your tax or insurance is out,,,,,,

  • I think we should take all the cars that were ruined and drop them on the white house lawn.

  • This crushing of good vehicles is a real crime, against our moral sense of value. There are many who would be pleased to own these restoreable autos, not everyone qualifies to make payments.

This is the power and rule of the upper class and corrupt gov't leaders, what do they care??? just let the printing press run and make dollars.

I think the same type of destruction has been done with agricultural quotas to keep prices higher.

And what about war? total dessruction

  • There was great footage of that 2000 Mazda MPV family van that was like new, but our computers used a different format.

We had to film the Westfalia off a laptop.

That's why it's so grainy in this video.

    You have to wing-it sometimes.

  • Posting was the easy part, but thanks.

This took a whole day to produce, believe it or not.

  • PISSED OFF.... And there are people out there that want this same Gov to run your healthcare????? I can see the program in a few year, you can trade in an old, broken down family member for a tax credit. They will call it something Trendy like "Cash for Codgers" or "Go Eternally Green for the Gov (GGG for Short)". "Save the Healthcare that they will waste on you, for the rest of your family". Sounds Great, Ay?

  • Jeff it brings tears to my eyeeeeeeeees!!!!

Up yours OBBBBBBAMA! Taking our JOBS!

  • I know ya feel, if I saw a scout getting crushed, I'd be livid.

  • Nothing green to see here...

  • The reality of this will be in a few years when you try to get a good used car... there will be none.

  • This is such a wrong way to go about a stimulous program. Incredible waste.

Admittedly, some of these vehicles were possibly past their useful life, or were oil or fuel burners, but still -- no doubt quite a few parts could have been salvaged.

    How sad.

  • Interesting insight, excellent work.

  • Pretty Creepy. I think I am the first to view your video since it had 0 views with I first saw it??
