you're good its just strange that your mouth is closed when you whistle because mariah's whistle is some airy means her mouth is open

whistle register is a rare thing for people to do , if you have it in you , it won't take to long for u to master it.

and also u will probably get comments saying stuff like " hey i can do the whistles perfectly!"

but i'd bet all the money in the world they can't. as i said its really rare that people can whistle not scream which is what a lot of youtube users refer to whistling.

LOL...it's funny because when I was 7 she first came out with her first single and I didn't sing high much and this is how I started doing the high notes...with my mouth closed. I can sing the high notes pretty good with my mouth open now, so if you keep practicing, you might get it...you are young and your voice still has some maturing to do so DON'T GIVE UP! By the way, I'm Mariah's biggest fan just like you! : ) I wish you the best!

You did really good but,(Im not tryin 2 be mean) but you might want to start with something simpler then work your way up. Thats what i did and i can hit the notes she sings in Emotions perfectly and you can damage your voice if you just go strait to the high notes. trust me my friend started on a high note and about a week later she couldnt talk and had to get surgery. so yea.... you might want to start of slow then work your way up best of luck =D

Im 11, i can do it whith my mouth closed and open.  Its not correct to do it with your mouth closed as it is more of a "squeak".

Yes, you can make that sound. But I dont think that it's the right way to do a whistle register. Closing your mouth is the wrong way to do a whistle register and if you keep doing it, you can damage your voice tremendously. Whistle registers come from your breathe not really from your throat. If you listen carefully to Mariah whistling live, you may notice a little breathy, whisper sound at the end of her whistle.

Your previous video was awesome. But just like the person a couple places below me i agree- it realy isn't that difficult when your mouth is closed, singing with your mouth open is quite a bit harder.
