I understand the theme for this video. Michelle is showing that her lover threw her whole life out into the street, making her (soul) feel homeless. As she deals with this, she feels like everyone else in the world has a deep, perfect romance while she has none. Very sad viewpoint.

I know what she means, because I've been down that road myself. The Beach Boys one said "There are 2 girls for every boy!" Then, in the case of this video, all boy openings are booked up!
