My Silver version (with 100% complete DEX) run out of battery too. However I changed it and began playing it again. xD The owners of FireRed and LeafGreen don't have to worry about that, those cartridges use flash memory for save, so they'll last forever. Every other version on the GB/GBC/GBA use battery, sadly.

this makes me remember those old days where Johto was still airing, that season was not just amazing, it was magical... mistical... all those legends (specially in Ecruteak City) the oriental influences in the places, it was all just... awesome, in my opinion, the best season of all... and not just the anime, the games were amazing too! I mean... 2 regions! no other pokemon game has done that!, 2 regions, amazing game, nice characters... and Red as pokemon master =)

Ecruteak was my favorite city. Where 4 out of 6 Legendary pokemon rest until you find them. And I had the OLD Silver, so it was original. I always liked this song. That and the Surf theme.
