Women aren't the problem. Men are. We must be seen as equals and to that we must be given the chance to perform as equals. While in service I passed pt tests at male standards. I do not believe in a male/female test. Same test for all. I saw plenty of men that couldn't do it. They were egged on by being told they were being beat by a girl. Just another example of how men are the problem. A real man will see a real woman as his equal, period.

Even if what you say is true you're the exception. Most women can't complete the male standard. Most couldn't complete the female standard. So should entire infantry battalion be forced to adapt to you and your needs if you were to be allowed in. I guaranty you got plenty of special treatment because you're a woman and never complained.

Most women don't because they are coddled all their life for being a girl. They aren't given the chance to toughen up. But they find it once they join. I didn't receive special treatment and the 2 blown knees and nearly destroyed spine that I have from serving my country (got blown up twice while tending to fellow soldiers, you ass) are a testament to the equal treatment I received. I am not playing both sides. I do not want to be treated or perceived differently due to my gender. My grandfather did it and so did my father for a time. He finally snapped out of it. And before you decided to judge my fathers actions don't presume to know him better than I because you share a common body part. If he can change so can all. He's right. Political correctness will get you killed. Removing the idea of gender from people's minds changes nothing in the physical world. No thought or idea will ever make Laila Ali beat Mike Tyson. Women can probably learn to handle a gun just as well as any man but there's always a chance that the fight will go hand to hand, where women have a significant disadvantage.

There's nothing stopping women from lobbying congress/military for the right to establish their own combat unit. Provided this unit with the exact same training as male units, and once trained, send them into combat proving doubters like me wrong. Women match-up poorly against men in head to head competition (Basketball, Football, Boxing, Baseball, Karate, etc.), so what makes anyone think they will fare any better in combat. Political correctness will be the death of this great country
