@Testlcicles he isnt playing traditional, but you should look up Jon karel if you want an awesome drummer who plays traditional and plays blast beats.
i want to see vids of all you haters, cause I think this kids legit, even without triggers, so make a legit video of this then post it. Then you can talk the shit you want..
okay i don't get why people freak out when they see that somebody uses triggers, triggers just pick up vibrations coming from the drumhead. okay maybe some people crank them up so they sound louder when they are really just tapping it lightly but they DO NOT increase your speed or give you better consistency. the only way you can improve those two things is by practicing and hard work. some people just want a good drum sound so they use triggers, simple as that.
@ottispunkmeyer ALTHOUGH, triggers make it really easy to edit the bass drum hits to make them perfectly on beat...so you can hide your mistakes. But yeah, I still agree.
hey.. people that are trying to give this guy pointers.... i think he's good lol im pretty sure anything you tell him, he already knows.. you are freakin awesome dude. keep it up
@never3818 Why? I don't think you've understand what you are using trigger for? It's not because you'r getting better, and i don't think you do. But man, you'r bass drum skills sounds crappy, because you can't hear yourself! It's not about getting better! It's about hearing what you'r actually playing!! God dammit!
@eib00n Yeah, for live use, I think they're a God send. They allow you to get an isolated sound out of the kick drum. You don't have to worry about mic bleed, or an idiot running the P.A. so that you have WAY more clarity with the kick drum live then if you were micing it up.
Your traditional grip blasts are amazing and that is really hard to do. The first blasts you did were off and that is one thing you need to work on. But besides that, it was near perfect as usual!
@kiliaNcrima his page says he played percussion since he was 8, that would definitely help his learning curve and attending the best music school in the world must have contributed a great deal. IDK though??? haha just a guess
@AmitKanfi check out brenttaddie's cover. Not hating on this one (awesome Breaking Benjamin covers), but brenttaddie has a much better cover of this song.
Amazing playing dude, i wish when i reach my couple of years of playing drums i can sound like that. I just have a quick question, why did you change from your axis/trick drums double pedal (im not sure which you had) to you current chain driven pedal and also which do you think is easier to double bass on?
@STUCKintheBUSH Yeah I know what you mean. The mic I used back home was stolen from me on my way to Boston. I'm using a different one I don't really like either now, but I have no other choice.
Great overall, though there are some parts with pretty sloppy double bass, but that's fixable with practice. Nice job, wish I could play like this after 2 years :)
Not too shabby, man! Not like your normal doings, but you seem to have a handle over playing this stuff. Getting better at the set that's for sure. Maybe a little more work with your blasts?
@Deadchicken95 I like my ride there because it doesn't get in the way of my left hand when my right hand is riding. i'm not sure it really shows in this cover, but if you watch Until the End by Breaking Benjamin, you'll see what I mean.
Great cover as always! Also a great band. I love hearing metal covers since that's my preferred musical choice, but I think it could be a good direction for you to take for your next few covers as they will certainly test you. 3 bands that you might be interested in trying to cover would be Between the Buried and Me and Dream Theater. Another great metal drummer is Chris Adler, in Lamb of God. Keep up the good work.
I never fully understood the sheer difficulty of Matt Greiner's drumming until I tried it myself....I still can't quite hang in there! MAJOR props to you; your kick sounds stellar in this one.
Anyone who would attempt to play this song, and do it GOOD, has balls... so quit trolling
