What I've found also, Tuvan throat singing, binaural pitches hints at a binaural receptive mind? two main aspects of our consciousness residing together eg Beta, theta, or Alpha Delta, so maybe four aspects, someone has to do some work in this area as musicians. A quintet multiplying both aspects creates further subtleties..."maybe"?
5:00 moire patterns, same thing in Aboriginal art, if you stare at particular dot paintings by "elders" they talk another language, hinting at higher states of consciousness, always present but not always "seen". Very David Bohm in concept, implicate hidden aspects of the Universe made explicate. Ancient Shamanism covers this also. Good vid.
@earlobe1997 He's a fan of Daft Punk.. if you think about the lyrics of some Daft Punk songs, it probably came naturally to him to follow a pattern like this one.
Can anyone tell us precisely what Brother Walter is saying precisely in "It's gonna rain"? We know he's telling the story of Noah, railing "about the end of the world", but it's very hard for non-English language users to follow his words. Please.
As an native English speaker - I do not understand it - it is almost song-like in its cadences and emphases - I suspect you have to understand Black American English and specifically the style of the street preacher to understand it first time round.
"He began to warn the people. He said, 'After while, it's gonna rain after while. For 40 days and for 40 nights.' And the people didn't believe him, and they began to laugh at him, and they began to mock him, and they began to say, 'It ain't gonna rain.'"
When I hear the wether guy on family guy say 'its gona rain' this is what i think of. I want to think its a refrence to this, but that may be a silly thought. Im not sure.
Besides that, there is No doubt that this man's expiramentalism has rippled to affect those of modern electronic musical productions; wheter it be from Dub to Trance or the un-harmonious and nearly monotonus Rap music of the Modern Era.
So you're saying Reich is un-harmonious? Trance is an awful genre of music. Techno, Hiphop, Dubstep however definitely have the depth where you can hear influences such as Reich.
I guess somewhat harmonious. Mainly because his works are more rythmic & testy of various sounds in different tempos. Being the Father of Phasing and all.
I'm pretty sure that trancy sound orginated in germany, but i'd never say just one person created a sound, that's not how a scene comes about. I'll check out your dubstep reccomends, all this rudeboy stuff is driving me a bit mad.
Anyway i'm a DnB head and it seems playing an unlikely devils advocate for trance here :)

Would make lovely torture music for Guantanamo, or to bring on migraines.
Sounds nice when the Africans do it. This about as much as my small 3D mind can understand at this point.

Interesting that in Jamaica that DJs were doing the same thing with reggae at the same time (dub relies heavily on repetition). Reich was a genius!

this is the same process of what dj's do. Syncing up two sources. When the syncs don't match, we call it a trainwreck. Cool doc.

lol at that, trance is the orginal deep dance music, it shook up the whole music scene in a way comparable to somthing like Jungle.
I like Dubstep but wouldn't go so far as to call it "deep"!!

hilarious, Juan Atkins aka Cybotron created Techno in 1981. when did Trance form?
as for deep dubstep check Mala, Shackleton, Appleblim, Burial etc.
