I stayed there for 2+ weeks in 1982,didn't have much of a chance to properly look around,busy at Wide Awake airfield at the start of the Falklands war.Lovely Island though,and would like to visit again some day.
Many good times on Ascension. Land crab claws are sweet and good eating. I never did paint the rock, since I hope to return to the island. Greatly miss fishing off the rocks, on the boats for marlin, tuna and wahoo, hiking the peaks, and all the wonderful people working on the island. Great pictures my friend. Brings back many great memories.
Spent 9 months on Ascension in 1963/64 - your vid bought it all flooding back - as you say - never forgotton - noticed some changes - some things the same. Loved the Pics.

Spent 6 months there in 1991. Still remember it like it was yesterday. Many happy memories. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
