This was a cover fire so that the indian trained afghan militants could cross over with the poppy guarded by the u.s marines and cause havoc in pakistan. Pakistan has already lost 40000 people in this bloody american war. On the same day at the eastern border the indians also began firing at karun shukar post, but Pakistan replied and defended. They did not fight with the nato/u.s because its Pakistans ally and these guys are pretty disciplined

Why would the Pakistanis attack the u.s when it knows its strength and at the same time U.S gives them the weapons.

Pakistani soldiers didn't fire first that's nato who is delibrately come their to attack pakistan post so can see is pakistan army have capability to destroy hellicopter and they attacked again and again until for two hours. they attacked two check post not one. you will see without any reason nato and america will invade pakistan to take their nuke at that's day is last for the afghan deploved troops (nato, usa )in afghanistan because nobody can save them from Pakistan Hidden nuke plans.
