@AndromedaAiken yes you do make a good point about the floor lol. I actually hadn't even thought about it because I'm always doing handstands in that kitchen and I know the girls at my gym would do the same, but I agree that its probably not all that safe, though I'm not real concerned of injury. =] Tips: when doing the press against the wall its easier if you move you hands closer to it (within reason of course) and remember to condition your arms and shoulders.
@jcctalent Well I can actually go up all the way from a straddle either but my tips should still be helpful. It's always much harder to go up from the straddle because it requires much more strength than going down, so I would suggest lots of arm and shoulder conditioning. The concept of going up into it is also difficult to learn so even if you are strong enough it may be that you just need work on getting used to the movement of it. For this issue I would suggest having a spotter hold your...
My girlfriend says you say aum a lot... Personally I didn't notice till she started doing it my ear... Um very helpful tips by the way... Um Thanks (•_-_|m/
Good drills but for someone who's only beginning, I would highly recommend NOT doing this at home especially on hard floors because you might fall on your head. I've tried that wall thing in the gym though but I can never get my hips to the wall. Any tips?
@21kambree Ok I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm not sure if you read the comments from people saying it helped because there's quite a few and I don't think those people are lying about this being helpful. And, while I cannot do the actual move the drill is intended for, I can do the premilinary move and all the drills just fine. This video was not intended to demonstrate the full move it was designed to be used as a building block for a complete press handstand. If you don't like it don't watch
@21kambree of course it helps! people who struggle with something make the best teachers, some one just standing there saying "and then you just push up into a handstand" isn't useful, she's shown us the bits that are good to focus on and given people ideas for doing new exercise!
@jericacutie Its too bad no one can take you but I love that you're still doing it anyway. I would be happy do do more videos for you, let me know if there are and particular skills you would like me to do. =]
I don't really have anyone to take me to gymnastics & i think you should do more tutorial because i'm literally teaching myself how to do tumbling and i'll appreciate it so much{:
@psychojoker131 yes core strength is very important, you can always try sitting on something raised like at 4:00 even if you can't push yourself up just hold it for like 30 mseconds or something. Thats what I started out doing. The balance part is something you just have to practice and hope it gets better.
@stuiec7 I used to do flips on hotel room beds all the time when I was little I'm pretty much too tall for that now the next time I'm at a hotel I'll try to do something and get a video up of it just for you lol (I am serious though) =]

I can't sit on the floor, and like keep both legs off the ground. So I'm assuming I need more core strength? I seem to loose my balence.
