  • helll yea

  • If this music doesnt make you feel like grabbing a cold one I dont know what will

  • Merle, Waylon, Hank, Johnny, and WIllie, barstool, jukebox, smokefilled bar room favorites! Take me back to real Country Music! Nice Vid! Thanx.

  • Merle Haggard one of my favriote country stars get it son on that guitar......

  • If anybody watching this is affiliated with Nashville "country" music, please see the crowd reaction at 2:45. Contrary to the opinion by some, country fans still want the pedal steel guitar and fiddle in the music that is produced currently. See Texas music if you have any questions. I would love to be able to cancel my satellite radio again.

  • hell yea me to hank lol

  • I absolutely love Merle AND this song...but I never quite got into the Sax part. :/ Nevertheless, the song is AWESOME!!

  • "ain't no woman gonna change the way I think" PERFECT!

  • Me either Donny....

  • Such beautiful music, it cheers me up

  • @palpatine55 Yeah Merle is a Great player, but if that's badly out of tune, I'll take it if I'm having an off night.

  • I think i stay here n drink some kool-aid

  • I love billy bobs

  • Live at William Robert's!

  • Love this video. Wish I could share this on Facebook.

  • That is Norm Stevens backing him up on guitar. Roy Nichols passed away in 2001.

  • This was NOT a good representation of Merle Haggard's guitar picking ability, he was WAY out of tune in this entire CD. He is an absolutely fantastic guitar player. Check out some other youtube clips to see this is an abberation.

  • amazing band. i love it... thankyou guys.

  • So many times I have made this decision!

  • That's Roy nichols in the chair , his original guitarist, Bif Adams - original drummer, and Norman Hamlet - original slide steel guitar player. Merle Haggard and The Strangers! Hell yeah!

  • F*ck yah u go Merle! love the hag!

  • A true American Icon. I don't know of a soul today who could replace Merle when he goes.

  • man his voice is still the same after all the boose, great Merle tune...

  • Go Hag Go!!!

  • I saw Merle perform this song last night in Panama City, Florida. Awesome night.

  • My personal favorite Hag tune. Thanks!

  • @GinsingSullivan Not my favorite Hag tune but my favorite Hag recording.Larry Londin on drums and especially Reggie Young's guitar(fantastic). The sax is great too.I don't like Merles's guitar playing but I guess he plays lead 'cause of Willie.I don't like Willie's playin' most of the time either.Especially when the too loud nylon strings come out distorting thru the PA system!

  • Merle playing some nice lead guitar !!!!!......That was nice....Didn't know he had it in him....

  • @bobbyozb

He's the Hag.. of course he does :) One of my best friends is Merle's former piano player..Mark Yeary..

  • @scott93257 The piano player in this video is Doug Colosio....he's good...but Mark is better :)

  • The Drummer looks like Placido Domingo!

  • i put this on the juke box at my local bar every time im there and about 20 people have asked me hey man who sings that i love that song

  • thats Merle i love, him and the sax

  • Love Merle AND that sax!

  • get high on weed and enjoy the music and life that much better .... You dont stop partying because you get old .. you get old because you stop PARTYING

  • Yehawwww....Get high on life wiff Country Music ..:o)

  • That Bakersfield Sound needs no description.

  • This is the bomb///gotta luv the Hag!

  • The two greatest singers in the history of the world are Merle Haggard...and...Merle Haggard!

  • good stuff

  • What in the world is wrong with both Merle and Norm Stevens in this vid? Neither of them are playing anywhere CLOSE to their usual abilities, they can barely hit the high notes at all, and both Merle and Norm are such good Tele players it's a shame. Norm seems to fair a bit better here. RIP to him.

  • @palpatine55 Haha he's probably stoned, still he's very good no matter what.

  • Norm is so damned old in this gig, I don't see how he does as well as he does. Gotta love the video anyway! Not anything better than Merle and the Strangers....

  • Great country, but the sax is way corny
