This guys hilarious, I think that by the time you have came to this video you have been like him in that mission at least 4 times, screaming, kicking, punching your roommates, and stealing milk from baby kittens, all in anger over not being able to get the achievement despite many tries so I think its funny to watch someone else doing the above mentioned, it makes you feel like your not alone in your insanity.
don't queue units; that's expending resources that wont do any work until that unit enters the building bench, do something else with the funds instead, return and build that unit when no unit is occupying the building bench

what so ever, i did it on brutal, and i saved 3 colonist's
the way i did it, is simple, i startet off like u, building up to 5 vikings + 1 medivac and 2 Siege tanks, at ever protos base there is a clift u can fly over, and there is a save point for ur tanks to be, just use ur vikings as deffence to take out the coloses & phenix's when the air is down + the colos, simple as just land ur vikings for extra dmg on their base.
@IrTEHninja check that you are connected to your account. I have done a lot of playing where I didnt get my achievements, only to find that I needed to relog! Play it again, and you will get them.

Sorry to correct you. But the those two bases you pointed out aren't bothed needed to be saved. The on just to the lower left needs to be saved and the one on the lower right. They protoss go in a zig zag attack pattern. But no the vikinings don't attack ground units in the air it's just on type of protoss unit in that mission. And if you switch a viking to ground mode on the cliff enemy ground units can't shoot back. unless they can see you.
I guess it's just me, but the yelling that he did in the second half of the video (not even really yelling but okay) made me laugh like hell. Pretty jokes I thought.

Love the video man I got the achievement a few mins ago and whats i did was built massive Vikings no marines and it wasnt as close as yours. the casting bar on the purifier was at a bout halfway when i got it. oh and also i fully upgraded my vikings and had 2 star ports. The thing i like best about achivements is seing how other people did it so thanks for showing your way. In retrospect i may have been better off building a few marines cause those gay Archavons took out like 30 vikings atsouth

You should talk to husky and HD and see what they use to record/edit/export their SC2 videos. The quality of their videos is amazing and makes it easier to watch I think. Keep the achievements coming, they're great :)
I managed to do it on hard with 3 bases still up with plenty of time spare, didn't realize that the base in your bases counted towards the 2 you needed for the achievement. Had to restart it so many time until I managed to do it >.< I fail lol

The key in destroying the purifier is staying out of range. Attack it only with Vikings from behind and it will be no problem, it won't even spawn any support units or use its warpfield.

To be honest, a lot of these videos have introduced this fantastic game to a lot of our long-time FPS shooters and MANY have decided to purchase it as a result. So from my standpoint, it's a win. @NextGenTactics diamond level just means that online against other players you are ranked in the diamond league. It goes bronze silver gold platnium diamond. So i assume thats y u didn't know because you dont play online. Which actually would help you get better. Best way to learn is playing online against the rly good players imo.
@NextGenTactics There are five leagues of skill in Starcraft 2. Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, with Bronze being the lowest and going up. So being a Diamond level player means you are pretty good, but there are at LEAST 10,000 people in Diamond league, so it really doesn't mean that much.

I did this achievment purely with vikings, built a few marines and a merc squad of marines patroling outside my base to defend, and just land the vikings on high grounds to take out bases. eg, the first 3 can take out the nexus to your right as soon as the game starts without any casualties.

@Noctis666 Also that playing the game on brutal can be used to unlock achievements for lower difficulties so you don't have to do normal, hard, then brutal. Just normal and then brutal.

My macro is horrible if you compare it to my sc1 macro(played broodwar 5 years) and nevertheless the most players are just worse than me. I think the agme needs time to develop skill. Maybe in 1 year diamond league will be more "pro"

The key in destroying the purifier is staying out of range. Attack it only with Vikings from behind and it will be no problem, it won't even spawn any support units or use its warpfield.

Dude, dont listen to these folks that are saying negative things about this video. I am new to RTS games and I enjoyed watching this video. I love playing SC2, but you are right, it takes time to get good and it doesnt mean you cannot post videos of yourself playing SC2. Thumbs up from me.

I really don't wanna be a prick here. But your rly not good at sc2 at all. I mean i get that NGT is all about fps so i get that but i think you guys should at least get someone whose in atleast platnium to do the sc2 videos. As a diamond level player this was rather brutal to watch.

To be honest, a lot of these videos have introduced this fantastic game to a lot of our long-time FPS shooters and MANY have decided to purchase it as a result. So from my standpoint, it's a win. And maybe it does help other noobs. If you're pro, then there are plenty of others to watch.

@sakurabafan09 no problem and I really have no idea what diamond level even means :) But ya, we got nobody else to do these videos and the thing with SC2 is it takes a LONG time to get good, particularly if you haven't played RTS in 10 years! But, I'm trying and these vids just show me trying to learn but also trying to do what I do best and that is be a trophy/achievement whore. Although, I will likely NEVER get all SC2 achievements. But it's cool...I should put NOOB in the title!

@NextGenTactics diamond level just means that online against other players you are ranked in the diamond league. It goes bronze silver gold platnium diamond. So i assume thats y u didn't know because you dont play online. Which actually would help you get better. Best way to learn is playing online against the rly good players imo.

@NextGenTactics There are five leagues of skill in Starcraft 2. Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, with Bronze being the lowest and going up. So being a Diamond level player means you are pretty good, but there are at LEAST 10,000 people in Diamond league, so it really doesn't mean that much.
Btw I'm in Diamond league :P

I did this achievment purely with vikings, built a few marines and a merc squad of marines patroling outside my base to defend, and just land the vikings on high grounds to take out bases. eg, the first 3 can take out the nexus to your right as soon as the game starts without any casualties.

Soz may I suggest 1 thing? :p dont want to be all pro like omg but u can actually do all the achiev with 1 try on hard mode first just mass viking forget about marines they suck xD i destroy the nexus by just killing all the air threat with mass viking and destroying the prism air thingies since they are powering up the cannons then just land and since u will have sooo many viking they will just clear the way after that since u got soo many viking the purifier goes down easily :P just try it gl

And yes, you can shoot the first nexus from the highground and 1 advice...if you want to build more supply depots select 3 wbfs and shiftclick,(i would not recommend this, but better than 1 wbf)

This wasn't an insult at all, maybe you got it in the wrong way. And diamond level play is fucking low. I don't have much time to play. I play diamond. My macro is horrible if you compare it to my sc1 macro(played broodwar 5 years) and nevertheless the most players are just worse than me. I think the agme needs time to develop skill. Maybe in 1 year diamond league will be more "pro"
Pros are Idra, Tester, White Ra, Dimaga etc. Do you watch high level play?
