  • i wanna know how Eddie figured how to do all this stuff on guitar, its crazy

  • @golfguy13579

Hendrix and The Beatles did a lot of trippy backwards stuff on their albums.

  • @golfguy13579 He time-travelled backwards, but very slowly, so he could hear the music backwards.

  • Cool edit pro nice

  • @BledsoeBluvd

It's Adobe addition which is a newer version of cool edit.

Ive upgraded again since to CS5.5 and it looks a lot different.

  • @johnnybeane ahh, would you say it's better? than CEP?

  • @BledsoeBluvd

Yes because it has a lot more features but it looks different so it's not as easy to use. Cool edit and adobe looks almost the same.

  • That dude is such an effin freak.

  • Uploaded a video last night showing how Eddie stuck picks to his guitar.

See my channel for link in recent videos.

  • your dad must work really hard.

  • @loknloll

  • @johnnybeane uh... all those shiny guitars?

  • @loknloll

    I built most of em.

  • @loknloll dude what the f are you talking about, hes a grown up man, everything he has, he earned himself.

  • This is a nice video. I might actually cite it in some research on rock virtuosity that I am doing for a PhD. Thanks!

  • @VioletDeliriums

Thank u and yeah feel free.

  • Hello Johnny.

I'm an experimental Pop/progressive rock musician from Denmark and i have a question for you. I really need the program you use, to backward my recordings. Thats something that i feel i'm going to need in the future for the more experimental songs i'm going to make. What is the name of the program you use? Nice guitar btw. Nice looking as always. :)

  • @Odinsgade

    Hi Marco.

    Thanks man!

    Well i use Adobe Audition.

I now use a newer version than what i was using in this video but it's really the same.

Just google Adobe Audition and u will find their site.

    Rock on!

  • BRAVO!!

  • @gilmourtheman

    Thank u very much!

  • a roland cube in the back? nice amps (;

  • @fireatmidnight0

Yeah the roland cube is a great little amp.

  • @johnnybeane yeah,i got a roland cube 60,just a clean sound,and a roland cube 80X,with metal sounds,and distortion and stuff,btw,for the song "tora tora",can you play the intro with a wilkinson tremolo?

  • @fireatmidnight0

    Cool man!

    Yeah u can use a wilkinson .

  • @johnnybeane okay,by the way, what recording program do you use?and can you download it for free?

  • @fireatmidnight0

I use adobe audition and no it's not free.

  • @johnnybeane okay,thanks

  • @fireatmidnight0

    Rock on!

  • @johnnybeane thanks! you too! and you have awesome guitars, how many $ did you have to pay for the kramer 5150?

  • As stated it is your choice, Your instrument. I don't care.

  • Removing all the strings at once when changing them causes no ill affects on the guitars neck. The truss rod might have to be adjusted every once in a while, (a great while) But it will certainly not damage the neck. Playing the guitar this way really poses no more stress to the neck then what occurs with normal playing. (strumming, bending, tremolo arming, tuning and of course, changing strings.) I would be more worried about unseating the bridge posts or waring out the springs.

  • @royeeeee

    Thumbs up!

  • Ok your instrument not mine, why do you think they suggest to not remove all strings at once when changing them?

  • @thisplacesucksbig

    Watch Eddie in concert.

He does that in his guitar solo every night.

  • Taking the strings that loose may damage the neck I value my instrument more than that.

  • @thisplacesucksbig

Not when using 9's and for only a few seconds.

Ive been doing this for years and never hurt my necks.

  • @thisplacesucksbig Nonsence

  • You repro'd that sound perfectly. Well done. Now do "Dirty movies" intro for me. Interested to see your take.

  • Cool dude!!

  • @petey604

    Thank u!

  • Any chance you have an electric piano and an mxr flanger on hand? LOL. If you don't that's ok. You still rock man! Keep posting those cool VH tips. BTW i have those same magazines of Van Halen. I love to collect classic Van Halen memorabilia. They've been my favorite band since '84.

  • @Yeseniaschick

I can make that sound on guitar.

Will post a video in a little bit.

    Same here.

I used to have everything -

search youtube for a video called "van halen collection".

You can see some of the VH stuff i used to have.

The video is from 1995 and is like 25 minutes long.

  • @johnnybeane Awesome. I will look forward to seeing your video. Email me when you post it. Thanks!

  • @Yeseniaschick

I made a video the other day.

I'll attach it to this video as a response.

I got the GMW 5150 from a guy at the Texas guitar show a couple years ago.

  • @johnnybeane BTW where did you get your 5150?

  • Man, that was awesome. Thanks for sharing that tip. Cool to know how it was done. I was wondering if you know how to play the opening to "And the Cradle Will Rock." I always wondered how he played that part. It sounds cool.

  • @Yeseniaschick

    Thank u.

Do u mean the very begging b4 the song starts?

That's Eddie banging on the keys of an electric piano with an old mxr flanger on.

  • @johnnybeane and a distortion pedal. dont for get that.

  • Good tutorial!

  • @fretworx

    thank u!

  • Really good work !!!

    Greetings from Germany
