Anyone else can feel free to amend or correct this answer, but I THINK the IIs have a slighly more pronounced curvature to the roof than the IIIs. Example: the train starting at 1:50, I think the two end cars are IIs and the middle one is a III.

The easiest way to tell is the IIIs have squarish windows while the IIs have the more ovalish ones.

Also, the IIs have that little boxy thing above the windows, the thing where 269 says "PENNSYLVANIA"
