  • "Brísingamen is referred to in the Anglo-Saxon epic Beowulf as Brosinga mene. The brief mention in Beowulf is as follows: "since Hama bore off to the shining city the Brosings necklace,Gem-figured filigree. He gained the hatred Of Eormanric the Goth, chose eternal reward." The author seems to mix up goths with geatas-geats in Götaland and Västergötland. One of the early kings of the geats and swedes originating in Västergötland was actually called Birger Brosa, maybe an old cultic name.

  • The gauts/geats are supposed to, ackording to Ingemar Nordgren, to be the origin of gepids. The gepidic/gothic settlements stretched from northern Poland far into Ukraine. To see a good example of what gauts look like, see: /watch?v=AzoRucqYers

  • Billiant!
