  • Concerning the legal system and breaking bones...If you are defending yourself on the street, DO WHATEVER you need to do to save yourself. It is of great consternation to most that our criminal justice system has devolved and eroded so terribly, adding insult to injury by means of the courts. Especially when and where it concerns self protection and self defense. Keep up the Faith.

  • I really like Relson and his style of "old school" jiujitsu. I remember hearing stories how he was the bad boy of the Gracie family back in the day and would actually utilize his jiujitsu in legit situations on the streets of Rio. I met him at a tournament and he's very down to earth and super cool.

  • I have just become aware of Relson Gracie and his emphasis on bjj for street self defense as opposed to "sport" fighting. For that reason, I hope to train at one of his affiliate schools when I start training in bjj. I am all about self defense, I am not interested in being a mma fighter or a UFC bad ass. lol

  • We did the choke from behind tonight, and I recognized Phil from a few months ago. This stuff takes a lot of practice, but it works and it's fun as well. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking to defend themselves in the future, or just looking for a physical way to have some fun.

  • Is his school in Hawaii now or the Bronx still?

  • NAO SABIA QUE O SEU MADRUGA ERA MESTRE DE JIU JITSU .LEGAL!!

  • please wthat is the diference of gracie barra - gracie academy ?

  • Relson Gracie Jiu Jitsu!

  • I love this art. It totally works, even if u learn a lil it will help greatly.

  • im glad to see more self defense stuff from the gracies, rather than just the sport jiujitsu. i'd be more inclined to do the standing armbar/break that he did, rather than get on the ground and do the cross body one. still nice to see

  • These moves may look "choreographed", but trust me...they are effective. To see Relson and other high level Jiu-Jitsu practitioners preform these moves at full speed is a site to see.

If you're not convinced I urge you to find a credible GJJ or BJJ academy, find out for yourself and discover how easy, fun and effective Jiu-Jitsu realy is.

  • Lol love the "please rate comment or subscribe" as Phil's getting tossed. Good classic SD.

  • looks like dance movements imagine doing all these when 2 are attacking a person

  • @shavanthawee This is the constant argument I hear from non-believers--What about 2 guys, what about multiple attackers..blah-- blah! TRUTH is there is no effective ways to take on more than one attacker!! If you find yourself in this situation you should find a way to get away from the situation--Pure and simple!! Any martial art that claims it can help you take on more than one person is being irresponsible and will only get YOUR ass kicked for you

  • @JJI6881 :still haven't got the answer for the question as I see their is no reply for it but the usual execute of "getting your ass kicked " well one day when your on the ground facing down garbing some one with a lock and some one hits on the back of the head may be the answer would come :) but I agree their is no "there is no effective ways to take on more than one attacker" have a nice day

  • @shavanthawee the answer is your crazy to believe you will "defeat multiples" your at a strong disadvantage so contsant maneavirng until you can get away- or engage one in the clinch while using ther body from not allowing others to come too close. This is standard standing self defense technique for multiples. if you have to stand and fight more then one guy your probably gonna get taken down and stomped eventually. if you don't have weapons, or a way of escape your just gonna stall them.

  • Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tradition rocks! Thnx for the video.

  • very cool - thank you.

  • Looks easy, but it isn't. It takes years of practice and 100''s of attempts before you can get the timing just right. Remember, these guys were about the same size and built, too. Those hand bending motions are NOT easy to master. A real opponent will be moving and changing his position on you constantly.

  • @scrapbook11 have a lot of ways to denfense your self this is a little demonstration of more simple moves have in brazilian jiu jitsu. any martial arts you have to train hard and no one have 100% to gives right.

  • The demonstration is choreographed, because you need to see it in slow motion. Wrestling moves are demonstrated in the same way. It is nothing like real time when you move with the speed that comes from constant practice. Practice that last hours a day for years. Then the moves happen so fast you can barely see them.

  • seems highly choreographed

  • Thanks for that!

  • great stuff, thanks.

  • So if anyone lives in America, don't do the armbar or anything to break bones. Because my little brother broke some mans finger when he was choking him and the man is trying to sue him, despite sacurity camara catching him trying to steal his backpack. And these kind of stupid things happen all the time in America, and it costs money for court. So be careful.

  • @jrdudedj sad but true. thanks for the reminder

  • @jrdudedj this is a sad but true fact.. that's why hopefully you A. don't know the person. B. don't report it if possible.. let the asshole have his fingers broken. he has no ethical or moral reason to sue. should have behaved himself in the first place. but the courts don't care about ethics or morals these days.

  • I have rated, commented and subbed.

    Happy 2011 .
