Remember, when John wrote the Book of Revelation he didn't divide it into chapters. That was done much later. So Rev 12:17 refers to Mary as our Mother.

After the Rapture of the church (the first resurrection) which will take place shortly, God will turn His attention back to Israel once again and all Israel will be saved. So then, The Woman in Rev 12:17 is National Israel and the man child is the 144,000 Jews who will have come to Christ at that time. The rest speaks also of the sufferings that Israel will endure in the last 3 1/2 yrs of the Great Trib. ...

He makes this clear in verse 23: "And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in". Please note that word "if". The angel tells Daniel the same thing in 12:1. Daniel's "people" in this passage refers to end times Israel but, note again, the angel qualifies by saying "those found written in the book of life". In other words, a remnant.

I see Israel as God's chosen people ..who rejected their Messiah through unbelief and the Gentiles ....
the Gentiles were grafted in by faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I see that we are in the dispensation of Grace (church age) which is almost over...then will come the Great Tribulation and then the 1000 Yr Reign of Christ in which Israel will be the Leading Nation once again. I do not see Mary in any other light other than she was the virgin that was chosen to bring the Messiah into the World so that He might taste death for every man (at least every man who will believe on Him).

Just as sin and death entered the world through a woman (Eve), so life was given to us by Christ through a woman (Mary). Eve was mother of all the living. The woman in Rev 12:17 is mother of all the faithful. On the cross, Christ didn't say "take care of my mother" but "behold your mother."

So then, it was told them that the (Seed) of the Woman would bruise the head of the Serpent...this refers to Mary's Seed (which was Christ Jesus) because Mary was a virgin so the Bible said that the Holy Ghost overshadowed her and that makes Jesus Christ the Son of God. The Seed (Jesus Christ) of the woman(Mary) bruised the head of the Serpent(Satan) at the Cross.
@momalew2btrue Actually, if you read step by step, Even listened to the serpent, took some fruit and ate it first, then gave some to Adam (Genesis 3:6). So a fallen angel (the same serpent in Rev 12) came to Eve and she disobeyed God by first eating the fruit and then giving some to Adam. So in reality, it was due to the actions of Eve that sin and death entered the world . Conversely, the angel (Gabriel) came to Mary who was obedient to God and so bore the blessed fruit (Jesus) in her womb.

I only study the reformers for critical purposes, they opposed Rome yet used her tactics in dealing with dissenters, particularly the anabaptist who they drowned and burned for their faith. I have studied Ambrose, Augustine , Eusebius etc. My opinion is based on history from Catholic, secular and protestant sources. The Holy Ghost is my teacher concerning God's word.(Jn 14:26; I Jn 2:27) No magisterium or tradition can equal God's wisdom

The important thing for us now is knowing the Lord and his salvation. I don't think my church can save me any more than your's can save you. I hope that somewhere in the midst of all this doctrine and dogma that members of both our denominations really do find the Lord Jesus Christ. Remember, when John wrote the Book of Revelation he didn't divide it into chapters. That was done much later. So Rev 12:17 refers to Mary as our Mother.

@momalew2btrue When Paul says "all Israel" in Romans 11 he does not mean the entire nation of Israel but only those who will accept Jesus. He makes this clear in verse 23: "And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in". Please note that word "if". The angel tells Daniel the same thing in 12:1. Daniel's "people" in this passage refers to end times Israel but, note again, the angel qualifies by saying "those found written in the book of life". In other words, a remnant.

So a fallen angel (the same serpent in Rev 12) came to Eve and she disobeyed God by first eating the fruit and then giving some to Adam. So in reality, it was due to the actions of Eve that sin and death entered the world . Conversely, the angel (Gabriel) came to Mary who was obedient to God and so bore the blessed fruit (Jesus) in her womb.

Jesus also said: "unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no life in you". Every Catholic mass is a celebration of the Eucharist. Notice that the "smoothness" of the pebbles is indicated but not their size. Size is not necessary to symbolize Rosary beads but smoothness and number ARE important. @SOLARCLANLEADER Jesus rebuked the woman in Luke 11:27 because she repeated a common mistake even today, and that is that Mary was blessed because she bore Jesus in her womb. This is false. The angel Gabriel said that Mary was blessed BEFORE she conceived Jesus. In other words, Mary was blessed in her own right, and the woman in Luke was mistaken. Jesus was rebuking the woman, not Mary. Regarding whether Catholics pray to Mary or not, we simply repeat what the angel himself said: Hail Mary, etc.

@heraldcrier Have you ever had your friends pray for you? Have you ever had your pastor pray for you? Have you ever had a congregation pray for you? No one has more influence with Jesus than his mother, Mary. Jesus worked his very first miracle through her intercession.

@vrghiks Mary's Rosary is found throughout Bible prophecy under hidden symbolism. For example, verses 9-26 of Matthew 24 (Olivet Discourse) are divided into a 666 pattern. The following 15 verses, 27-41, are divided into a 555 sequence. Jesus is telling us in his choice of sentences and their sequence, that 666 (Antichrist) will be defeated by 555 (Mary's Rosary.
