The US has treated Latin America much as it treated its slaves- exploiting them while taking away their resources and making them live in poverty and ignorance so they will never take charge of their own future. In spite of this the worm has turned. Latin America is no longer willing to toe the line--the dictatorships imposed by the US in the past are over. These countries are now going to prosper WITHOUT the US running things, and live in freedom denied to them by US policies in the past.
