  • what software pls...

  • o i love the box have you maid this box

  • the EV 180a,s 1000 watt,s

  • I agree that the triangular voids are wasted space, but they can be integrated into a distinctive aesthetic for the horn enclosure, if the triangular sections at either end of the voids are cut out of the top and bottom panels, creating a triangular 'tube' through the enclosure, as well as some nice easy-to-grab handles.

  • HELLO FRIEND VERY GOOD CAR BUT THAT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IS THE SPEAKER OR HAVE A TEAM Bosin SOUND BUT I really like the CAB BUT I NEED TO KNOW THAT AS SPEAKER OF VA OR OTHERWISE AGAINST HOPE YOUR FRIEND Congratulations RESPETUESTA

  • Good news....... The part two of this video will be released soon!!!

  • @LIFT4POWER i expcting to tht...

  • @LIFT4POWER sick mate proper nice love the style whats the software called and does it have real life measurements cheers mate

  • music from tool nice !

  • Great design I'd like to talk to you about this design can that box be built smaller for 15s or 12s??? We need to talk can wait to hear it

  • hi there, im wondering how you calculate the wave lenght of the front chamber, and also, how you determine the phase at the end, at what frecuency its tuned? im new in this... im making a single folded for a 12" car subwoofer :)

  • @andrescrc Word to the wise bro folder horns sound "strange" up close. you have to be about 30 feet away from them for them to sound correct. Up close you can hear the sound compression. That's why they are called Long throw, they are meant to be heard from far away. Car subs should either be bandpass, ported or sealed. Go on the speakerplans forum lot of of answers there.

  • quite allot of wasted space in this design...

  • @uncledumpling how so?

  • @LIFT4POWER ok, if you pause at 0.49 the two triangular sections either side of the horn flare... the space inside these triangles seems wasted to me. maybe try and refold the horn so as to incorporate this space and you might be able to make the box smaller? smaller box = less wood, less weight and less truck pack.

    Just my thoughts...

  • @uncledumpling I see what you mean, but that is necessary for the over configuration.

  • @LIFT4POWER What do you mean by "Over configuration?" Good luck with the build, I look forward to seeing the video of the finished box.

  • @uncledumpling This enclosure, Is perfectly designed. Its beautiful.

  • @uncledumpling The triangles could be the new driver chambers, the ports turned into the horn throat, and the horn path continued round where the old driver chambers were to the front. This would also reduce some of the box's depth

  • @uncledumpling Less space, more bass

  • @uncledumpling I agree....

  • I have alot of comments on this design. I will be working on a model soon.

  • you finished the design yet? Also will you be selling the plans or actual speakers?

  • @NorflokRaver vAlso what are the specs on them?

  • where I can get plan for this sub?

  • 16 woofers!

  • would love to know how ya get the mags mounted in and all but love to see it working! good stuff

  • have to say that is a very impressive design

  • una pregunta como atorniyas el woofer....

  • build on for 2 12" kicker cvrs

  • you must i bulding

  • Have you ever built this cabinet and if so, where could it be heard?

    Thanks

  • Tool cover of No Quarter!! Nice choice. Oh, and ur design is lookin pretty impressive

  • What did you sim in? Hornresp or Akabak? Must have been hard to design and then fold into the box!

  • @DrEMplushrest Years of experience.

  • @DrEMplushrest calculator and experience really.

  • @DrEMplushrest

Google sketch up which can be learned by anybody in about 15 minutes.

  • Have you build it?

Because it looks like there is going to be cancelation. a lot of it.

  • @epiphonesg007 It is designed not to have phase cancellation at the lowest frequencies.

  • @LIFT4POWER

Well it looks like it will have a lot of cancellation, maybe not at tuning freqeuncy but all the other freqeuncies.

It's basicly just a ported box on 1 side and "hornish" on the other side. ;)

If u haven't build it yet and u can prove it doesnt has a lot of cancellation then i am afraid i cannot believe it.

There is maybe not going to be a lot of phasse cancelation, but the waves will cancel each other out. ;)

  • @epiphonesg007 LOL "hornish". its called a hybrid horn. It has full impedance matching capabilities like a typical horn. I curious if your math looks different than mine?

  • @LIFT4POWER

Woops sorry, i don't understand it, but this is the wrong video i have responded too. :p

    You're looks good. :)

  • @epiphonesg007 This design is still being engineered. No customers yet. This enclosure is very specialized.

  • whicj program u use to design this.......??????

  • as I get the displacement for some woffers "15"?

  • como consigo el cubicaje para unos woffers de "15"?

  • @luixrec Please translate into English.

  • EXCELENTE EL MEJOR DISEÑO DE WOFFER QUE E CONOCIDO EN MI VIDA.

EN ESTOS MOMENTOS CON UN AMIGO ESTOY CREANDO ALGUNAS REPLICAS DE AQUEL DISEÑO QUE MUESTRA EN EL VÍDEO, ESPERO QUE ME QUE BUENO. EXCELENTE - EXCELENTE - EXCELENTE - EXCELENTE

  • @gesmy Thank you.

  • Has this been built yet? If so, how does it sound? I've been working on a design that allows the rear compression chamber to be ported like this one. So far, it's response is very efficient and the phase correllation is correct to a point of certain higher frequencies(that won;t be used anyway.). Let me know how you did. :)

  • @mobileenclosures Im currently revamping the design.

  • @LIFT4POWER is it because you are experiencing phase cancellation? I hope it works out for you.

  • @mobileenclosures no. I found a better sub that requires little rear room.

  • Awesome cab! What is the name of the band playing Zep??????

  • @markwoodruff777 Its Tool's cover of No Quarter. Thanks for the complements!

  • Lift can u gve me the Dimensions and Measuremnts of the various Compartments in ur Diagram in these video?

  • @mckyong1983 what drivers are you using?

  • doesn't look like it'll work unless you either take out the peices with circle cuts or you reverse mount them. (Square subs assumed)

  • for bass output....can u compare it to cerwins? or flexbins?

  • excellent

  • Ever thought about mounting the subs in the front triangles, and sealing off the ports and modifying the horn path so that they become the new throat? You would get a longer horn path that way, and more loading so your low bass wasn't being produced using the less efficient bass reflex design.

  • Nice. This Subwoofer could be a comrade of my new exponential Midrange Horn :) For mobile party :>

  • is that meant to be a shelf also? what are those pieces in the middle for

  • @pokerface3699 WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT IS A HORN WALL FOR ARENA AND LARGE VENUE

  • dang that shit looks ridiculous, are the woofers accessible tho after putting the whole thing together?

  • the rears are shown with the access panels removed.

  • ah i see, so they are screwed in and can be removed again? thats cool

  • Actually the throat is properly designed with a exponential rate. the rear tunning is below the horn tuning. Phasing problems will occur if one was to mis-use this cabinet for upper frequencies. The design goal was a usable response to 20 hz.. The impedance curve of this particular driver is very good and the overall response is predictable and will produce large spl results.

  • @LIFT4POWER hi ya, can u gve me the dimensions and measurements of this set up?? tnx Man!!! rocj on!!

  • Looks cool in the video but I can't imagine it would work properly.... There is no proper horn throat in front of the drivers.... Then how do you get around the phasing problems with the rear chamber vents exiting in front where the bass horn is?.....

  • That Question is far to vague. In order to align a driver with the enclosure I would have pose a large list of questions.

  • yes... it does!

  • realmente impresionante . 5 * congratulations is incredible design

  • thanks!
