  • Those "in Christ" are DEAD to God's means of condemnation, the Law. Paul repeatedly said this, as you well know.

Paul said that God has forgiven us ALL (pleroo) sins (Col 2). "ALL" means ALL, not some or most.

And in Rom 8:1, "no" means "no." NO CONDEMNATION.

The believer is not just eternally secure but UNCONDITIONALLY eternally secure IN CHRIST. Saved = SAFE.

You're not teaching salvation. You're teaching PROBATION on the basis of works. That's Galatianism.

  • It's weird how you have expressed your opinion....but what about all the verses he shows....address them as well.

  • The campbellites really need to do a study on the one Greek word - Tetelesti. English being "It is finished".

The campbeliites have a number of problems in their unScriptural teachings; a denial of the indwelling Spirit, misunderstanding of justification, a twisting of what the law is, an overemphasis on an unBiblical understanding of man's part in salvation(Armenianism) and one of the most heretical teachings of all pelagianism, lead to a system of false salvation and mancentered gospel.

  • True, and the fundamental failure of the Cambellites is their rejection of the Word of Christ given in the revelation of the mystery (Rom 16:25, Eph 3:8-9). But they're not alone in that. Practically all of Prot Christendom, Rome, and the various cults are in that same boat: they ALL preach Christ according to the flesh, not according to the mystery. Hence their many false gospels of works (baptismal salvation, fear of losing salvation, inability to even know you're saved [Calvinists], etc).

  • What's weird about it? Look up the verses I mentioned from Paul's writings and consider:

If salvation really can be received and then lost or sinned away or given up, then everything else Paul wrote about salvation being a permanent, eternal act of God is false.

That eliminates Paul's half the NT as false.

That also destroys Peter's lettters, as he mentioned Paul's teachings as "hard to understand" (which is the poster's problem). And possibly Luke.

Deny Paul = deny the Word of Christ.

  • And where precisely are my comments above incorrect? I deliberately made them as simple as possible, yet you just brush them off as "weird." Do you not understand them? Look them up for yourself.

  • my apologies for any double or triple posts.
