  • Please ladies take it easy with these subchorionic heamtomas. My son was born prematurely at 21 weeks and 5 days gestation, as my hematoma grew to 18cms causing my placenta to partially seperate and my membranes to rupture. Jie Darren Becskes was born sleeping 11th march 2011. I think of him every minute of every day. I created a tribute for him (our little man born sleeping) to create awareness. Please look after yourself and take care. You are all in my heart and thoughts.Good luck. xoxo

  • thank u so much for responding and letting me know that everything could still be ok! i really appreciate it u make me hopeful! thanks so much again!

  • this happened to me yesterday i was gushing blood and they told me i have a subchronice hemorrage i am so scared but i went to the hospital yesterday and they did a ultrasound and everything was perfect but i am so scared can u tell me if everything is ok with ur pregnancy? the doctor in the hospital checked me yesterday told me i was having a misscarage and then after they did the ultrasound it was a diffrent story!

  • @rnbstephanie908 I am sorry you are struggling with a subchorionic bleed. They are so scary. I am currently 32 and a half weeks pregnant, and my baby is doing fine. My bleed stopped at around 13 weeks or so. Just take it as easy as possible, no heavy lifting or strenuous activity, complete pelvic rest. Your doctor should be able to do ultrasounds and monitor the bleed and let you know if it's improving. I hope it all turns out okay. I had a bleed with my daughter too, and she came out perfect.

  • How did you go with this bleed? I'm currently 13w and had a subchorionic Bleed at 6 weeks which absorbed by 8 wks and as come back this week. I'd be interested to know if you had any other bleeding episodes?

  • @KimMuffin Hi how are you. I stayed off my feet as much as possible, and by about 11 weeks the bleed had slowed. I noticed a little bit of blood every so often, but my doctor said it was old blood making its way out. Your doctor should be able to tell on the ultrasound if your most recent bleed is fresh or old blood. I've been lucky and didn't have any other spotting episodes since. Good luck and keep in touch.
