WRONG! Franken cited a L.A Times article on a CDF report.

If Franken would have actually read the CDF report, he would have read " the annual black child poverty rate was at its lowest point on record in 2001."

Considering the research that went into that book and how many human hours it took to acquire it, by the time Mr. Franken wrote "Lies", yes, that specific fact may have been obsolete. Or, it could have been the time it took to publish that made it so.

Be smart, use your head. "Now", in the context written, didn't mean "today".

However, in my opinion, elected officials, especially at the national level, should possess intelligence, knowledge, integrity, honesty, and a willingness to work for the American people.
