The basses were out of tune on more than one occasion and I think that is what set many of the chords off...and if it wasn't them, then the whole choir was off on some of the chords.
1. If you get to pick what song you get to sing for your audition, don't pick anything that is a cappella because the teacher won't be able to figure out what key you are singing in.
2. Pick a song that has a range you know you can cover.
3. Pick a song that you will love singing.
4. If the choir teacher gives you the option to face the wall or face whatever people are in the room, pick to face the wall, you'll be able to focus a lot better.

Im gong to be a freshmen next year and we have to audition to get into choir too. Do you have any Tips for auditioning?

learn sight reading, it's a must. have someone run scales with you, learn to control breathing. don't be afraid to stretch your voice.
