THIS is why mike was selling out madison square garden at 11 years old ! The boy was a real beacon i mean out of this world talent ! With talent already this amazing its no surprise how advanced he became as an adult. All of his peers like prince and madonna were at home in school when mike was getting a head start being on tour all over the world. The time period of this video is actually before mike's generation but he was so good as a kid he was able to be apart of that era of music.

I don't think Dick Clark was ready for Michael Jackson to die when he did. He practically grew up on Bandstand as well as Soul Train. Michael auditioned for Motown in 1968, and that was the same year Frankie Lymon died. Amazingly, Dick Clark outlived so many recording artists that appeared on Bandstand.

michael was incredible at such a young age. to see something like that would be impresive even if he was an adult, but to see a kid thats 11 or 12 do that....thats a gift. this video is the perfect reason why no one can be compared to him or even touch him, hes like the most historic child ever. what a talented performer. once in a life time to witness something like that. Thank you for posting this awesome footage, IBeLovintheJ5!!! This really takes me back to the first time I saw them live in 1970. Somebody suggested that this type of footage be released on DVD (and Blu-Ray). I guess it would be up to BG if he ever wanted this footage released, since Motown has a patent on it. It would be a shame not to. A lot kids today loved MJ and J5. They would really love to see them from the beginning. Thanks again!!
