It's amazing how you can still be depressed when you have all the money in the world, and dating one of the hottest girls ever, Brook Shields. It's amazing....
Andre has he life mapped out before he was born, did'nt chose it, hated it with a passion and yet still became a legend in the game. My favourite athlete, so honest, pure and human. Love you Aggasi!
Ah, hell. I feel so bad for this whiner whose dad only did what he thought best for him. If you hated the life so much, Andre, give all the fucking money back.
@fruticetum i agree. many many ,,normal" people spend their WHOLE lives doing jobs that they hate and earn very little money for it, and he dares complaining? whatever.
@rgur90x Yea but those people have a childhood. He isn't complaining now, he's simply stating what he felt and what he went through. Complaining would be him quitting and not doing it when he was in that moment in time, whether a kid or an adult. What he did was resolve his internal conflicts, and he made something that he didn't appreciate much something that he appreciated a lot, tennis.
@fruticetum You think he's running his school and making money? That's why he's opening up a school (maybe you should listen better). The school was an effect of tennis, the cause. He started playing tennis for reasons, one of them being to help others (ie. making money to later help others). Why would he lie about it? Don't you think him saying something like that would hurt his dad? More reason for it to actually be true, since he loves his dad!
H:e started playing tennis because his dad made him; not because he wanted to help anyone. Yeah, he was a stage dad, but the thought it best for his son. Yeah, OK, Andre can quit if he wants. Just don't gripe and try to make money by selling a book.
@fruticetum If you think he was making the book for the money solely, then that's your opinion. With some of the references he made in the book, hurting his own image, it's probably safe to say that he wanted to come clean and tell everyone the true story of his life. Money is something that cannot be denied in this instance, but he will more than likely re-invest that money into helping others, like he's down for how many years now?
@fruticetum Where have you been? This has been addressed in the media for months. A majority of the procedes from the book have gone to charty. Including his own foundation which has been ranked as one of the most reputable and charity organizantions in the country.
Thumbs up if read OPEN

I like Andre but all this interviews for his book are completely rehearsed. Almost word for word. Sorry, but that's lame.

The difference is choice. Agassi was railroaded into a life he never chose for himself.

What exactly is a "real life experience"? Millions of children go to school and many of them don't like it but it is a real life experience.
What child has a choice about his childhood? Much of childhood is wasted.
I think he's awesome and I hope he's happy with his life now.
