  • @WEZO24522164 what saw blade did you use in this video?

  • Very impressive! Great video, great technique, couldn't ask for more.

  • holy shit man 5 hours later..... but it was pretty sweet

  • You totally rock! Thank you for taking time to make these videos!

  • Thank you so much for taking the time to show us the skills to survive in the woods.I watched all your videos, and enjoyed them very much.I look forward to seeing more in the future. Many blessings to you.

  • This vid is a favorite on Uganda

  • a friend and i made a bet on who can live off the land longer, how long did it take you to make this? this will work better then what i had in mind for a shelter

  • Nonetheless, nice job on it.

  • In my opinion the bow saw is a bit redundant. If you're going to bring a saw blade you might as well bring a sturdy handle, it's not very much more gear and it can save you much time and aggravation.

  • What kind of back pack do you have?

  • Good accent, where do you come from? at first i thought it was somewhere south of sunderland, then i thought wales somewhere?

anyway thanks for showing me how to make a saw...

  • @psycho1279 take up and practice flint knapping, even just knapping a sharp edge off a larger paice of stone will be able to process a paice of green wood up to 4-5 inches if you kinda "beaver chew" it

  • i first saw these on a smaller channel, i will post the same comment assuming this is the official one, is there any way to make a useful cutting tool using just things you find lying around? using a knife at maximum? im just asking for the "stuck in the wilderness" scenario since id prefer not to carry a saw blade around everywhere

  • Bending the wood with the fire is very interesting... many uses for that trick I'm sure!

  • VERY GOOD VIDEO! It would be great to know where you are geographically?

  • feel so sorry for you if the blade or the handle of the bow saw snapped on you :(

  • nice video...

  • thats damn cool not much hazel where I am at though...

  • You need a real steel sawblade and nuts and bolts to make this. Its easier to carry a damn handsaw! they arent heavy or bulky.

  • Brilliant!!!

  • love it thanks !!!!!

  • awesome series! watched all 7. very nice! thanks for taking the time to put this on youtube.

  • You're amazing! Thanks for sharing all your skills and knowledge. Lots of us out here truly appreciate you!

  • stop complaing about each others techniques, thats what they are, if you guys are so good, then stop watching the video's and complaining, or watch and learn there are more ways to skin a cat "or rabbit"

  • He already has a foled saw! How much more energy did he expend to make the bow saw? All the things he eventually did with the bow saw could be done easily with the folded saw.

  • @khoafish Yeah, but i watched thsi vdeo to learn how to make a bow saw, not to learn how use a pre built saw.

  • was that a opinel 12 that i saw you use to make the notches in the wood i would like to see you comment on that knife since it is a folder and how much could you use it out in the bush

  • he burned more calories making a blade then he would have been carring one his rugzak(backpack) is big enough

  • Great Vid!

  • that would have sucked if you broke it when bending it really far down but nice guide

  • It's easy to find wood in the forest it's hard to find aluminium in the woods. Also the blade weighs less than a whole saw. Why carry what you can make easily. What he is showing you is how to survive with MINIMAL kit, What happens if all you have access to is your personal carry kit what are you going to do ... watch his videos and see what one CAN do.

Great informative video's hope you post LOTS more.

  • If you had packed a saw blade you knew you needed a saw... why not pack a saw?

  • @dlane1987 ya just bring the saw OH CRAP I JUST STEPED ON IT!!! OH NO THE HANDLES BROKEN!!!!! oh wait i can just make one :)

  • @dlane1987 why cary extra wieght when you can make one

  • ya every carries around a saw blade, ya right.

  • Nice! Love it! I always wanted to know how to do this. Now I know. Thanks a bunch.

  • jesus, is hazel the only tree in the UK? if i hear one these brit guys say hazel one more time im gonna shoot myself in the cock!

  • @theresyourtrouble hazel is the best woodworking wood ever and is soooooooo common in the uk

  • @MrSplintrz yeah, i figured as much...

  • @theresyourtrouble Hazel was used in so many different ways in the UK, traditions have been carried down although not to the extent that it was used.it is such a flexible wood, hazel hazel hazel hazel, have you shot your cock off yet?lmao.

  • @luvu2luvme its on my to do list

  • I don't see how you attached the bolts.. Could somebody explain.

  • Kiohoka. Would be 3 counting you!

  • 3:28 wow.. he has 2 dicks!

  • Could you possibly make a home-made bow like this? With using the same technique?

  • I see that everybody is about to worry you to death with questions... well, I have one more:

What is the best brand of bow-saw "blade" to buy? The one you use looks like a real good one! It remains sharp through a LOT of cutting! (I watched the full videos series and came back to this one to post this question.)

I appreciate your videos. They help so many people. (Including THIS old dog! ;-)

  • What kind of knife is the one you had stuck in the tree when cutting the grooves? Cheers

  • 7:00 did you have gloves in your rucksack at that point?

  • i like your manner you seem like you dont take eny shit.

  • What did you use for the bolts? Actual bolts or something else?

  • well done, i love that bow saw idea!

  • you are like a wood engineer. Thanks a lot for sharing this!!

  • always enjoy your videos. thanks for making them.

  • where did you learn all of these survival skills??

  • Stoked your making videos again sir. I watched all your old ones and enjoyed them as well as learned a few things. As for the people that think they know everything and want to criticize other videos...I guess if an argument is the only type of attention they can get its better than nothing to them. Keep the video goodness coming man. Thanks.
