Thank you so much for taking the time to show us the skills to survive in the woods.I watched all your videos, and enjoyed them very much.I look forward to seeing more in the future. Many blessings to you.
a friend and i made a bet on who can live off the land longer, how long did it take you to make this? this will work better then what i had in mind for a shelter
In my opinion the bow saw is a bit redundant. If you're going to bring a saw blade you might as well bring a sturdy handle, it's not very much more gear and it can save you much time and aggravation.
@psycho1279 take up and practice flint knapping, even just knapping a sharp edge off a larger paice of stone will be able to process a paice of green wood up to 4-5 inches if you kinda "beaver chew" it
i first saw these on a smaller channel, i will post the same comment assuming this is the official one, is there any way to make a useful cutting tool using just things you find lying around? using a knife at maximum? im just asking for the "stuck in the wilderness" scenario since id prefer not to carry a saw blade around everywhere
stop complaing about each others techniques, thats what they are, if you guys are so good, then stop watching the video's and complaining, or watch and learn there are more ways to skin a cat "or rabbit"
He already has a foled saw! How much more energy did he expend to make the bow saw? All the things he eventually did with the bow saw could be done easily with the folded saw.
was that a opinel 12 that i saw you use to make the notches in the wood i would like to see you comment on that knife since it is a folder and how much could you use it out in the bush
It's easy to find wood in the forest it's hard to find aluminium in the woods. Also the blade weighs less than a whole saw. Why carry what you can make easily. What he is showing you is how to survive with MINIMAL kit, What happens if all you have access to is your personal carry kit what are you going to do ... watch his videos and see what one CAN do.
Great informative video's hope you post LOTS more.
@theresyourtrouble Hazel was used in so many different ways in the UK, traditions have been carried down although not to the extent that it was used.it is such a flexible wood, hazel hazel hazel hazel, have you shot your cock off yet?lmao.
I see that everybody is about to worry you to death with questions... well, I have one more:
What is the best brand of bow-saw "blade" to buy? The one you use looks like a real good one! It remains sharp through a LOT of cutting! (I watched the full videos series and came back to this one to post this question.)
I appreciate your videos. They help so many people. (Including THIS old dog! ;-)
Stoked your making videos again sir. I watched all your old ones and enjoyed them as well as learned a few things. As for the people that think they know everything and want to criticize other videos...I guess if an argument is the only type of attention they can get its better than nothing to them. Keep the video goodness coming man. Thanks.
@WEZO24522164 what saw blade did you use in this video?

You need a real steel sawblade and nuts and bolts to make this. Its easier to carry a damn handsaw! they arent heavy or bulky.
