The SM group of companies are all Philippine based, originated in the Philippines.
Even a street beggar earns more than $2 a day in Metro Manila. Philippines is a middle income country and the 31st biggest economy in the world. It has been a newly industrialized country since 2008. Manila is rapidly developing and construction of skyscrapers are everywhere due to increasing middle class' demand for condos and apartment units. New and improved infrastractures like super highways, MRTs, trains, museums, malls are also on the rise. Progess is all over the place.
this is not real economic growth, this is a product of imports and foreign investors milking the filipinos' pockets.
what philippines need is its OWN engineering and manufacturing industries without foreign intervention. So it can create jobs for the Filipinos by the Filipinos and we don't have to take loans.
Shopping malls such as Mall of Asia are foreign investment so the Filipinos are forced to spend their hard earned money and the profits goes to foreigners.
@j12torts May utak ka ba? Hndi foreign investment ang SM... the SM group of companies are all Philippine based, originated in the Philippines and run by a Filipino.

@PinoyKabogable yeah that's one what about the rice export, why are we importing lots of rice now, when we have more agricultural land than Japan.
Shouldnt we be making money from rice export. But no we import more rice than before.
