@ktno1 you can hear his bass playing alone (but with Patrick's voice) in Sugar, We're Going Down, but i agree, his bass parts are ridiculously easy compared to the music that i listen to now, but FOB is still catchy, and catchy things are what the mainstream is all about, not lyrics, not instrument playing, not how good the singer sings (most are AWFUL), just as long as its catchy.. I still think FOB is amazing, to hell with haters :)

When I say 'badly', I mean he has poor technique. You've never heard him play bass alone because he can't play that well and it wouldn't be very impressive. The truth is, in a band that plays the genre of music that FOB plays, the bass parts are simple, and he gets the job done. He doesn't ruin it with his shitty bass playing or anything. I'm just saying he doesn't have particularly good technique and if he had to play something more complex he would probably struggle.
