How on earth did you manage this? It is more likely than not that as soon as my brother stirs from his weed and alcohol induced coma in a few hours that I will start playing this game, I have been to the site and plan to be a minstil... How does one do something like this!?! I would love to be something of a portable in-game radio or CD player XD. This is cool, and I wish to do simmilar things if at all possible. Please, I implore all with the knowledge, help me to be able to do stuff like this.

@TheRevan1337 you can either play it your self, but it's really hard. you can also download an abc file, from a site such as lotro-abc dot c om , read the instructions on the site and download a file. Once you have done what the instructions said, you can let the game play a song by typing the following in lotro:

/music + enter

//play ''abcfilename" . abc -- then press enter again

@herkini Depending if you keep ctrl or shift down you get high or low notes (if I remember correctly), so about 24 different I think, I used to play and it was fun but I never tried the music part too much.

@pianino08 as far as I am aware all good classes can play instruments. However all classes but the minstrel have limited choice of instrument use (lute, clarinet, horn, usually choice of 2). As the minstrel levels, gets access to more instruments and can eventually mentor the other classes to be able to play more instrumetns such as flute, harp, theorbo, drum, cowbell & bagpipes.

Listen, Free to Plat option is just a move against private servers.

But, if you play the game for free, you could NOT play the game seriously. You won't be able to have more than 2 golds, 3 slot bags, (I think) 1 server with 1 character, limited quest's and regions. Then if you are a premium edition, you could buy thing what you want and so on..

Basically, if you pay as always.. Nothing is different exc. for some points.

The reason they are doing this is because they did it to DDO, and it worked great.

That was wicked. I was on LOTRO today and I saw a Lvl 31 hunter playing the melody by himself on I think the lute, if not the Therebo ( is that what its called). is there anyway in the game where you can turn up the player's self made music so its luder than the game music

Turbine changed the music stances a while back, not a popular change either. The elf got the worst of the new stances! I miss rocking back and forward to the music. Its definately all us tho :)

yes, it it widely accepted that wow is above lotro in terms of quality. its popularity confirms it. But then I guess it comes down to personal preference. I found lotro rather dissapointing. I expected something really epic, but it doesn't even get close to the status of the movies.

State good reasons for WoW being better than LotRO. I have an 80 Druid (Resto) on Nagrand EU and stopped playing 2 weeks ago when i cleared all the content and was disgusted by the moronic, sad, pathetic, insulting, rude and atrocious behaviour of its players. Good game yes, good MMORPG no. LotRO surpassess all that ive played for its loyalty to lore, its great and grown up players, and its events and looks. Music makes it all that sweeter

Dunno, it's you're personal opinion. I am great fan of lotr, and when I saw the game all I could say is that it didn't work for me. I expected something more closer to the movies, aesthetically speaking. I don't like the looks of lotro, I find them dull and landscapes are all the same. And concerning players, I think there are people of all kinds everywhere, and you can't really know how they are in real life, because they're probably just fooling around knowing that they're in a game.

what you mean Monster Play? Ya I know, but a monster is not a full time character and you know it. It's got lots of limitations and I personally don't like that. At least Wow gives equal rights to the so called "monsters" and doesn't put only the pretty boys on the cover. To be honest I hoped that lotro would be much like wow when it comes to faction conflicts. But it isn't.

I am sure there are some tutorials available on the net to take you through the process to make your own files. If you are after pre made files there are some great sites out there for you to download abc files. It's worth giving it a go yourself tho :) Can be lots of fun and very rewarding!
