I love playing this song on my old 78' Takamine F360,but your rendition blows me away. It sounds awesome on that D15. I wonder if your F360S sounds as good as this guitar since it's not all mahogany.
@caintapi thanks a lot. They are both nice guitars and work well for this kind of music. The Tak has mellowed quite a bit over time so I don't think it would sound much different on this tune.
A great cover and I like your take on this great NY song....I,ve been wanting to do a cover of some NY stuff for ages....but the vocal register just slays me......so I may just "borrow" your idea with the capo... I have been going the other way and down tuning a couple of full tones ........Kev
Yeah, some of his older stuff is just to high to sing, even tuned down a whole step. Just move the capo around until you find a good key, close your eyes and let it rip. Thanks for the comments.
Cool Man, came to terms with the Capo eh, instead of starting your nose bleed all over again, pushing out those Neil High notes.. He he.. Great guitar work Jeff, I got to get a D-15. Everytime I hear you make it sing, i go through this again..
Yeah, the vocals on this one were always so high I could never sing it. Been experimenting with the capo and trying different keys lately. Kinda fun messing around with it.
Can't go wrong with a D-15. I think they're the best modern day Martin you can get for under a grand.
Love it. Kind of makes all the other covers of Cowgirl pointless, ya know. That must feel pretty cool, to know that when you do a tune, nobody else on Youtube is gonna come anywhere close to producing as entertaining an interpretation as yours. Very high freak factor dude.
Here's a trick for nosebleeds my Dad taught me when I was kid and had them often. Take some brown paper bag and cut a strip, roll it up and put it up on your gum line almost like a mouth guard would do and make sure there's plenty of pressure. My Dad boxed in his youth and did this. Once I had one so bad it was scary, did this and it stopped right away! Great job on a great song!

A great cover again.
i want also to post a cover but i just cannot sing it in the E or D standard tuning so i guess i'll do the same as you and play it with a capo.
